He is mentally ill. You don’t know where his head was at, how she died, or why he responded to her death this way. You have no idea what really happened. |
| Plus there’s no hard evidence that he texted her mom after her death. She was mentally ill too, and your damning assumptions are based on the distraught mother’s hunch that these texts didn’t “sound like” her daughter. |
Yes, in watching the Body Cam video, it doesn't seem like they had this info at the time. If they did, they weren't discussing it on the video. |
Obviously no one deserves to be murdered no matter what they look like. People here didn’t know Gabby, all they know of her is her pictures. They’re saying she was so pretty because they don’t really know anything else to say about her. |
Troll fail. |
Don’t question the Monday Morning Quarterback! S/HE KNOWS EVERYTHING. |
And you know this how? Assuming that he did murder her (and that's still an assumption at this point) he doesn't appear to have anything close to the severe mental illness required for a finding of "not guilty by reason of insanity" or even "guilty but mentally ill." |
Right. I guess the question will be whether they should have had that information, based on the timing of the second witness report. I think on the body cam footage, the police talk about how Gabby and Brian's reports match up with the witness report that they did have, right? |
|
Get me up to speed:
Was the dead body in Florida Brian's? Did the lesbian couple interact with Brian and Gabby at the store and a camp site? Where is report about Brian striking Gabby? Video? |
His family was quoted as saying he struggles with mental health issues. That doesn't make him a serial killer, but perhaps he is manic. |
??? Poor kids in the projects often know this, too. It's a constitutional right to have counsel. If Brian Laundrie had info as to Gabby's possible whereabouts and was innocent, one would think he would have provided the police with that information, as he could have had counsel present while doing so. After seeing people give false confessions in interrogations, it's hard to recommend that someone talk to the police without counsel present, especially someone young / naive / impressionable, etc. |
The stupidity on this thread makes me question the jury system. Let me spell it out for you. I’m the Body Cam video, both of these young people admit to the police they are mentally ill. The police remark that the issues were mental health, not DV. You cannot watch that video without seeing mental illness (unless they were on drugs, which Gabby strongly denied, also in the video). Now maybe he killed her. Or maybe she died and that amplified his mental issues, to a point where he thought he killed her. I’m just saying it’s distressing how everyone on this forum thinks they know he’s scum and a murdered. Let’s wait at least for toxicology anc time of death before we hang the guy. |
Manic? As in manic-depressive? The antiquated term for bipolar disorder? Does that make someone likely to murder someone? If so, I’m in trouble! |
I don't recall him saying that he is mentally ill anywhere on the body cam footage?? She says that she has anxiety and some OCD. Don't they both deny taking any medications? My point is that based on that body cam footage, no jury would ever find that he met the standard for "not guilty by reason of insanity" or "guilty but mentally ill." Both high standards, for good reason. |
There are different types and manifestations of bipolar disorder; my friend married a guy who is bipolar, as she is. She found out he is much much more violent than she bargained for. He is currently in jail waiting for his court date because he threatened her and violated his probation. Just because you aren't violent when you are manic, doesn't mean everyone isn't. |
