It is sort of weird, the degree to which any challenge to the status quo is met with laughter and eye rolls.

The status quo in FCPS is one in which requests for consistency, accountability or attention to what matters to parents are ignored, and the School Board's infallibility is presumed because they occasionally talk about "equity."

Surely Jack Kiraly and Jimmy Bierman of the Fairfax Democrats can find someone a little more noble to champion than Elaine Tholen. She may have a D attached to her name, but it's not like she does anything to advance their agenda. Support for recalling her crosses party lines and zip codes.

You seem slow. I just stated that the recall effort might not actually work, but it will certainly put a BIG black mark next to the “officials” in question and ensure they’ll never win an election again. Which is really the entire point.

Open FCPS is dominated by Great Falls residents and other upper middle class or rich residents, predominantly white . Look at the data and notice that most middle class and lower income residents and black and hispanic residents didn’t send their kids back even when schools opened.
