Back in February they were asking for some and I told them to F off, are they still asking for them?

How sad that your performative obscenities haven’t deterred them. Closing in now on Tholen.

And then what? You’re not going to recall her. You’re just trying to keep our community divided for your right wing purposes.

This. OpenFCPS leadership are a bunch of partisan political hacks with an agenda. This recall is pointless and does absolutely nothing for our kids but they already know that.

Thanks for keeping the thread near the top of the forum - will make it easier for those looking for signing events this weekend. And as far as “political hacks” go, I can’t think of a better example than Tholen.

Can I sign the petition at Great Falls Village tomorrow (Dranesville) if I don't live in that district (can I sign there for Omeish only)?

Yes - there are separate petitions for Tholen, Omeish and Cohen.

Why do you believe you can definitely assert that?

Well, between complaining about Democrats every chance and aligning themselves with Pete Snyder…

#openfcps two favorite politicians are democrats, fyi.

They are bipartisan.

Haha, nothing will happen.

DP. Possibly true, but the recall petitions ensure that none of these candidates will be able to successfully run for SB again. Too many voters are now aware of their incompetence. So that’s very much a win. Sorry to disappoint.

I'm not disappointed. I 100% agree that a democratic school board will be elected next time. DCUM and OpenFCPS is still a small population and there's quite a bit of overlap.

You may find the woke version of the “silent majority” you’re conjuring up here doesn’t exist. Most people I know, including Democrats, think the current board is out of touch with their priorities.

This ^^^. I don’t know anyone who is supportive of this SB - and that’s across the political spectrum.

Anonymous wrote:Why recall these three?

One’s Jewish, One’s Muslim and One’s to cover so they can claim they’re not targeting the other two for not being good WASPs.

Grow up.

Y’all first. Buncha whiny toddlers soiling their diapers because they didn’t get their way. Buck up and vote against them next time- or heck run yourselves! But that would require more than passive action and y’all know YOU couldn’t take the heat once you fail to live up to your neighbors’ lofty expectations.

Stopped reading at “y’all.”

OK, you’re snotty and ignorant. Thanks for letting us know. Shrug.

You’re wasting your time so you can pretend to be powerful and ZERO of the school board members will be removed. Sorry to disappoint.

I agree. It’s a ludicrous rebranding made even more clear by the fact they had to issue a press release stating they’re nonpartisan.

+100
This SB is very much endorsed by Democrats.

Oops - PP here. Please disregard my post! ^^^ I thought you were referring to the SB. Open FCPS is very much nonpartisan.

Yeah, they were a bunch of nonpartisan Trumpers.

DP, but I’m sure it’s at least as empowering as the rush that one of the FCDC clones gets from monitoring social media websites to harass people exercising their constitutional and statutory rights, especially if you’re like some of those unemployed (and unemployable) guys they have performing that task.

So much energy is directed toward trying to make parents feel that any efforts they make are hopeless.

Someone doesn't like the peasants getting ideas.

It is sort of weird, the degree to which any challenge to the status quo is met with laughter and eye rolls.
