If you live or die by the few coins you will get from renting to terrorists, you played yourself. All money ain't good money.

Armed? Going to need a source for that. I haven't read anything about any guns.

There were reports of guns, molotov cocktail‘s and tasers. You can look for the cite yourself. It’s in several news articles. Oh yeah and rebar disguised as flag poles. Klassy

That's not how sourcing works. If you make a claim that there were guns on protesters in the Capitol, then you need to provide a verified source. Or it didn't happen.

The Molotov cocktails, for instance, weren't anywhere near the Capitol. They were in a vehicle 7 blocks away. Not a threat.

You’re talking to more than one person. And way way off your rocker.

Nope. You the same person that keeps posting. And everything I wrote is true. Unlike what you wrote.

More than 2.

These are things that should not be brought into a rental, or parked outside.

How many blocks away from the Capitol do Molotov cocktails have to be before you consider it seriously concerning that somebody brought Molotov cocktails to DC on the day the Capitol was attacked?

I'm not seeing anyone defending what happened last week.

You're seeing low-information posters bleat WHATABOUT WHATABOUT WHATABOUT WHATABOUT while referencing BLM protests from earlier this summer, as if 1) a coup attempt is remotely comparable to unrest resulting from social justice protests (much of the unrest, by the way, was instigated by the ideological bedfellows of the Capitol insurgents!), and 2) there wasn't already widespread condemnation of the property destruction caused by the unrest.

To get back on topic: the "I will rent to armed insurrectionists because profit" PP is going to lose their bookings (if any) after all. AirBnB canceled existing reservations and is blocking new bookings. Good for them.

Great news- AirBNB is cancelling and blocking all reservations for next week.

Good, glad the company forced moral courage and self sacrifice where DCUM hosts lacked it. SMH.

This is actually a business decision.

Here’s the thing- any business that hosts (aids and assists) and insurrection will be audited. So this decision is to prevent any further auditing or investigations.

The other thing is that these déplorables will have a harder time to find places. So they will have to reach out to family and friends (which in the dmv people know that that is a no go if you are fed or contractor or anyone wanting a security clearance) and thus hotels will be the next in line.

Here’s the kicker- hotels have cameras everywhere.

If they go to a hotel and do something- the hotel has to release all of that video to the fbi. So I think hotels will be next.

But I also think this is the most amazing thing ever.

You are right that it is a business decision, but your idea that hosts would be aiding and abetting the "insurrection" and subject to investigation for doing so is batty. That is not what aiding and abetting means in a legal context.

Unbelievable that people are cheering the blocking of Americans from attending the inauguration.

Jefferson is rolling in his grave.

He’s safe from coronavirus. Tourists have been asked to stay home. Please pay attention.

Perhaps. But would you really want to have someone search your home or perform arrests at your property?

The fact is that it’s not worth the inconvenience. Dirty Money is still dirty money.
