NP. Violently storming the Capitol building with the intent of subverting a democratic process is in a completely different galaxy than smashing windows and lighting fires. Textbook false equivalency.

You're right, Fires usually kill people. Breaking down a door and stealing a podium doesn't.

And yet 5 people died in the Capitol coup attempt.

3 people had medical emergencies that aren't clearly tied to the protests.

3 people had medical emergencies during the riot, but they weren't clearly tied to the riot?

Do you also say that people died WITH covid, not OF covid?

People have heart attacks even when not at protests. People could have a heart attack when engaged in anything strenuous/exciting. Those are very different than the woman who was shot or the police officer who was assaulted and killed.

As for Covid, yes that very much can be the case. I know someone who was killed in a car crash. That person had Covid, but his death had nothing to do with Covid.

It's Orwellian, in the actual sense of the word, that the people who supported, condoned or excused a violent mob attack on the US Capitol building, while Congress was in session with the Vice President presiding in the Senate, are calling themselves "patriots".

My grandfather died of a heart attack while fast asleep. Did sleeping kill him?

What kind of a person posts quibbles like this to excuse or minimize a violent attack on the peaceful transition of power in a democracy?

What does that have to do with the discussion above?

What kind of person minimizes a violent attack that nearly resulted in political assassinations, by people whose name for themselves was Patriots?

I cannot believe how many people are defending armed insurrection. BLM was not bringing zip ties to assassinate lawmakers. This was not a demonstration, it was an attack.

I'm not seeing anyone defending what happened last week.

Armed? Going to need a source for that. I haven't read anything about any guns.

There were reports of guns, molotov cocktail‘s and tasers. You can look for the cite yourself. It’s in several news articles. Oh yeah and rebar disguised as flag poles. Klassy

Yep. It’s horrifying. It’s weird to find a few days of rental fees more important.

That's not how sourcing works. If you make a claim that there were guns on protesters in the Capitol, then you need to provide a verified source. Or it didn't happen.

The Molotov cocktails, for instance, weren't anywhere near the Capitol. They were in a vehicle 7 blocks away. Not a threat.

You’re talking to more than one person. And way way off your rocker.

Nope. You the same person that keeps posting. And everything I wrote is true. Unlike what you wrote.

Unless DC wants to pay me the lost income I will get from a prime date, I don't really care about their preference.

Yikes. I hope most AirBNB owners are willing to part with a few days of lost income rather than rent to Nazis.

Yeah, on the one hand, the lost income from a prime date, on the other hand, attempted violent overthrow of the government...

If it is that important to either of you, feel free to wire me the money I would earn from my AirBNB and I will be more than happy to remove my listing. Otherwise, it is really easy to talk a big when you have no skin in the game.

I believe some people are trying to do just that. Maybe you should look into that.
