During a pandemic you can absolutely cancel your rental since they would be required to quarantine for two weeks. And we should discriminate against racist nazis. |
Of course you can choose not to rent because we are in a pandemic, but that is really neither here nor there because that is what is not being discussed here. And, while you think we should discriminate against Nazis, doing so violates DC law. Feel free to push for the law to be changed if you like, but unless you get rid of political affiliation as a protected class altogether, allowing discrimination against only certain political affiliations is quite problematic. |
Oops. Double booked. My mother is having surgery that week, we need the space. Here’s you refund. Byyyyyyyeeeeee. |
Sure, people can almost always lie to try to hide their true discriminatory motives. People don't usually come out and say they didn't want to rent to or work with a black person, Jew, etc. and they offer some other rationalization to select someone else. But that doesn't change that their actions are legally wrong and, in at least some cases, they will get caught. |
White grievance is not a political affiliation, is it? |
| If you were paying attention, you’d already blocked these days unavailable. |
You can mock groups' platforms as little more than white grievance (and you might not even be wrong) but a group that advocates for policies built on white grievance is a political affiliation. |
They still won’t be able to book those days. |
| Funny I dont remember these threads for the BLM riots over the summer when our city was looted. |
|
Where do you live? DC was not looted. No riots either. Or invasion of federal buildings. You must not be from here. |
| I have three properties in Old Town fully rented for that week. Two tenants are from Georgia and one from Kentucky. |
Liar. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/dc-braces-for-third-day-of-protests-and-clashes-over-death-of-george-floyd/2020/05/31/589471a4-a33b-11ea-b473-04905b1af82b_story.html |
Well, we know who lives and works in old town. So, big surprise? |
What’s your zip code, baby? |
