I worked that station yesterday. Once they were moved, they had a right to make a ruckus if they wanted. They were enthusiatic. I heard them outside, but, I wasn't aware they were protesting early voting. I thought they were just shouting "Trump!" and "4more years! I didn't see them blocking the doors. They may have just been in the way of the line or too close to the building. (All political speech has to stay so many feet back from the door).

If they were actually protesting early voting, it is ironic that they came inside and VOTED EARLY!

I saw them and served them.

Yes. How do I know they won't rough us up, like Trump made them do at rallies?

Until someone makes a threstening gesture, you can't presume evil intention. But, there were voters who felt harrassed, and that's why the waiting voters were brought inside to wrap around the hallways. It was all handled well, and that's how democracy should work!

You can, actually. What other reason would they have to protest a voting place? How many excuses do you need to manufacture for what is fundamentally anti-democratic behavior? Why do you defend what is functionally fascism? They’re entitled to go vote there (presuming they’re registered and eligible to vote in that location), they are not entitled to protest voting or block access, and in the time of covid they certainly shouldn’t be out there spewing their unmasked breath.

It’s disgusting and the worst kind of optics. The GOP is totally opposed to their opponents voting.

Political speech is the MOST protected speech!

They have to stay X feet back, but once they fo that, they can chant and clap and cheer if they want. Nobody has to like it, but they can do it...and although I do not support their position and I question their intelligence/strategy/logic, the most obvious place to have political speech is where people are going to make political decisions!

I'm sure back in the 1700s and 1800s, men with wigs werr giving speeches outside of voting places too! That is democracy, and we should protect it even if we support the other party.

turned in my ballot at polling place in Fauquier County. Line before they opened. Lots of Biden signs in downtown warrenton. It was inspiring!

But if Biden's haul is more than 60%, then VA is solid blue. That margin is not considered close.

They weren't disturbing the election or insulting or abusing an officer of the election! No one in the actusl election rooms could have heard any of the noise because the rooms are quite far from the front of the building snd the rooms have no windows.

C'mon, dems! Are you really this fragile? Once they were moved to the proper distance, they cheered and chanted. I don't like motorcycles, but that doesn't make them "threatening." No one needed "an escort." The administration just moved the waiting people inside to keep everyone calm.

I don't remember how many came in to vote. I thought it was more than 3, but I wasn't counting. The ones I saw inside were not threatening or rude. They were shorter Asian people. One had two younger kids. Everyone who came inside behaved properly.

I think some people are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.

If you really are a democrat, you should believe in the first amendment. Don't let hatred of any politician rob you of your core values....civil liberties for all.

The trolls on this thread are exceptional. A link to the NYT has been repeatedly posted, stating that these people were neither blocking anyone nor were they “intimidating.” They also weren’t protesting the early voting, as several trolls have insisted. They were simply rallying for Trump - something they are perfectly entitled to do under the 1st Amendment.

It’s funny that a small group of people expressing their support for their candidate has caused these liberals to hysterically clutch their pearls. What are you talking about? There are 11 Representatives from VA in Congress and nearly half of the VA Senate are Republicans.
