Va is solid blue of course. But this bodes well for the battlegrounds. Turnout was tremendous in 2018 (highest midterm turnout in over a century). I don't see why it wouldn't be the case again this year.

Some twitter wag said we don’t need exit polls - just count the masks.

That's a good idea. I'll be mask watching the early voter lines now until October.

I can only get too excited watching this from across the river (former Virginia resident, now in Maryland).

Alot of Trump voters wear masks and disapprove of Trump's coronavirus performance.
In short, if someone isn't wearing a mask, they are almost certainly a Trump supporters. But the converse is not true.

I voted in Alexandria today. There were about 20 people ahead of me, and 20 people behind of me (and the line stayed that way when I finished). Poll worker said the line has been like this since they opened at 8.

I've never been happier to say I know Virginians. Keep it up. Let's get that Purple Wave.

With early voting and mail in happening in most states, whatever "October Surprise" Barr has with the Durham interim update will be mostly moot.

I wouldn't be so sure. Many, many people still still vote on Nov 3. It will likely be a close race.

And nobody voting early is an undecided voter.

Literally on our way to vote now!

I guess Trump has seen these images/clips. He just tweeted about early voting in VA, in what I bet is a weak attempt to tie the Fairfax crowd to enthusiasm for his campaign. But he, like us, knows exactly who they’re voting for.
