Married Women: How do you feel when men flirt with you?

Love it!! Don’t stop polite flirting.

I love it. I hope it keeps up for a long time.

In all honesty, the ol' flounder-scented matted skunk gets as soggy as a left-behind beach towel at high tide. Yowza!

Disrespectful in a professional environment.

If you want to flirt with women - single or married - please respect and protect our professional status and achievements while at work, (i.e., do not do anything that might raise eyebrows or call our professionalism into question,); and instead flirt with women outside of work at a gym, coffee shop, dog park, market, store, bar, or restaurant.

It makes me uncomfortable. I like to be friendly and have a laugh but I don't like flirting, I'm married and just find flirting with other people icky.

I can't help but think that the people that flirt need the validation or the ego boost.

With all the sexual harassment cases I doubt it. If a man flirts at work I consider him to be stupid and if a woman does it I see her as a trouble maker and I don't trust her at all.

"That's a great looking dress" - that's a compliment about the dress

"That dress looks really good on you" - that's flirting because its about you and the dress

"That dress looks really sexy on you" - that's being a pig because he's thinking about what's underneath the dress.

Well, o.k. But you do know that when he says "that's a great looking dress," he's still thinking about having sex with you.

Newsflash- if you're pretty every single man you encounter every single day is thinking about having sex with you. It doesn't mean we'll try to, but we sure will think about you naked and moaning.

NP and I would agree with all of this. The first quote is sweet and flattering and find. Even if all men want to have sex, are thinking about it, etc. If the flirting comes across as light hearted compliments that could be interpreted as friendly or overly friendly that is fine. I enjoy gentle flirting and men probably do too.

I meant for me. I like flirting and being flirted with. And when someone flirts with my husband I consider it flattering for me.

I don't just dislike it I hate it. HATE!

Do not flirt at work, it is totally inappropriate. Save it for happy hour.

Yes this. Please don't turn all human interaction into bland gender neutral speaking.

In the office? HELL NO.

Politely/not creepily at a show or something when I'm not out with my spouse (so there's no reason you'd know I'm married until I tell you)? Somewhat flattering.

My usual response is a very sincere and honest, "I'm very flattered, and very married."

I'm a guy and I agree.

And it's too bad because there are plenty of attractive women in my workplace, and some of 'em I've even seen on OLD sites, so I know they're single. Just Not Worth It though.

Someone resurrects a two year old thread to promote a link and no one talks about it. Fail.
