I'm going against the flow here but if it was me I would divorce. Why ya'll ask? Finding a new spouse is easier than finding a great career...and it's effing Texas!!! All they have there are steers and queers since they got no horns so that narrows it down..heehaww.

| I think you owe it to your husband to at least try to find an acceptable job in Dallas. Tell him you will take 3-6 months and make a good faith effort to apply to whatever you can find (firms, in-house, SEC, DOJ, maybe DA's office - whatever you would be ok with). If you haven't found anything acceptable after six months, ask him to reconsider the move. |
| There are zillions of law firms with Dallas offices, you will find something if you cast a wide net. You probably have a better shot of making partner down there, as there will be less competition. Also a lot of companies are based in or have offices in Dallas - there are probably good in-house opportunities to be found. |
