Did you read my post above yours? She doesn't have engagements. She doesn't do appointments. She doesn't work - and I would consider what the Royals do to be work. But William and Kate aren't doing it.

I kind of get the sense that William isn't aware that his lifestyle is funded by taxpayers and he isn't a privately wealthy/famous person who doesn't need to deal with the public. His whole job as a Royal is to attend to the public and appease them so they don't come at their gates with pitchforks asking to get them kicked out.

Why do you care so much? England is another country which pre-dated the US. They have their ways and we have ours. People left there to come to the US. It's really not your concern...you don't pay taxes there.
