reparations to whom exactly?

that's your response? how convenient.

I'm just asking for specifics. They have some big honking diamonds that they've said they're not going to return. It does look as though many of the ones mentioned in the article were actually purchased. However, even if they did, how would you disperse funds to say the over one billion people who live in India for example.

Thats one of the most hilarious suggestions I have ever read about the Monarchy. Firstly they should not be getting such huge incomes from taxing British workers - tax and land rent make them very wealthy and its completely unnecessary. That's where you need to start - not some ancient jewel.

Seriously. She has 2 little ones. In the US that's called a SAHM. but really she's a WAHM with 2 kids under 3 because, trust me, her calendar is BOOKED. your idea that she has all this time to herself is seriously mistaken. Being princess Kate is a J-O-B.

No, i'm sorry, that's not the case. http://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/630738/Royal-engagement-Queen-William-Kate-Charles-Princess-Anne William and Kate are lazy. Kate gets slack since she did give birth last year and she's not the heir. Harry had fewer Royal engagements on the books, but he was inn the Army up until June, then spent the summer volunteering for conservation in Africa and worked on the Invictus Games. William and Kate get to count showing up at sports events on their count. Sorry. Lazy. Not booked. And it most certainly should be a job, but neither Kate nor William treats it thusly.

Im not disappointed because I would never expect anything from her. Royals by definition don't do anything. She is definitely busy though, I'm sure her engagement calendar is pretty booked and although its all fluff and appearances its still "work." Time away from kids? Need to put on panty hose? Have to act nice to people you dont care about? Sounds like work to me!

i am the first poster who mentioned returning the jewels. how about they do both? i agree that the taxpayers should not subsidize their
lifestyle. i also think they have wealth today based on the backs of colonized peoples.

Also her grandmother-in-law, aka The Queen, has been rumored to have issued rules about what Kate can wear. Stockings, weighted hems on her skirts, no skirts hitting above the knee, and so on. It's probably no coincidence that her evening wear is not daring in the slightest. No amount of money would make me want to live under such scrutiny but yet also with so many restrictions.

You are on to something...

It kills me that they used the word "penultimate" in that story instead of "ultimate" (or another word altogether). Once an editor...

Kate Middleton, however, is a sore disappointment as far as public figures go. First, she graduates from a great university and an excellent secondary education and spends her time....partying with the princes and hopping in and out of cards drunk and giggly. Her "job" is like, participating in charity rowing competitions sometimes. I'm not even expecting her to DO much work, especially since she was wealthy and did not need a source of income. I just wish she used her status and privileged and royal connections to stand up for something and contribute in a real way.

People made excuses for her saying she was in a difficult place dating William and needing to be low key until her marriage. Well, she got married and has done nothing of significance so far with her new found power and status. She makes a few appearances and spends the rest of the time doing nothing. SO LAZY.

So...bring a good mom is not meaningful work?

Enough about Kate. Are there any other men or women in the world with dandy educations, great connections, endless wardrobes, generational wealth and no real job? Let's string them up or give them a McDonalds uniform or something.

Don't waste your hate here.

It would never occur to me to be disappointed by Kate Middleton.

Ya think?
What about all the other European monarchies that built wealth off colonies: Spain, Denmark, Netherlands and the rest? They have plenty of fancy rocks too. I don't see any hate directed their way.

Not true at all.

Get on hellimagazine sometime. She is always at an official engagement.

Are you in Kensington Palace PR doing damage control? Kate and William are catching heat all over the place for their lack of work ethic.
