How would lando's son have been handed over for storm trooper training?

Wasn't Lando a player?

Player with a heart of gold. I don't see him not tearing the Galaxy apart if to find a his stolen child. My vote is Finn is not Lando's.

This might come as a surprise, and it could be different in Star Wars, but men don't give birth through their penis.

Isn't this serious rife with a mother and father being distant from their child.

You people act as if Lando and his Baby Momma gave birth to Finn in a Cloud City hospital or something.

Why do you think that Finn is Lando's son? Is there only one black family in the entire galaxy?

Ahem.

So who is Rey? I say it's Kylo Ren's twin sister. DH thinks she's Luke's daughter. What says DCUM?

(Okay, that's not really a spoiler, more of a speculation, but anyway...)

And who is this Supreme Commander guy and where did he come from? It wasn't really explained.

I think Rey is Luke's daughter and that she and Kylo Ren are therefore cousins.

No idea who the new Gollum, erm. . .Supreme Commander is or where he came from, but I see we have remained consistent with the meeting by hologram concept.

Loved it, don't care. No CGI bullshit, better writing, great action, no fucking Jar Jar. It was awesome!!

No they are not. Finn stated that like all the storm troopers, as a baby, he was taken from his family and programmed to become what he had become.

I sadly was not as wowed. I thought the bad guys sucked. The ren costume was cheap looking. And he didn't seem capable of being a true bad guy - the 2 temper tantrums were just embarrassing.

As for Leia, waaaaay too much filler/Botox or whatever the hell they did to make her face frozen. It was like it was painful to talk.

That was a big part of the problem for me, too. He was awful.

Storm troopers are stolen children. I guess Finn's brainwashing/training didn't take, and nobody noticed or cared. That didn't ring true to the rest of the movies.

Overall for me, the movie wasn't great and I can't see myself watching it over again like most of the others.

Ren suspected, but I don't think he believed what he suspected.

If you can't keep up, don't add to the conversation with incorrect information.

Wtf. What did I miss between episode 2 and 7? Were they not all clones of jango fett?

They were all destroyed, and then a new movie came out with human storm troopers. The clones were unreliable.

YES!!!! I whispered this to my husband during the movie. And our son agreed.

It's better than VTC.

I enjoyed the performances of all of the villains for that matter - I was glad General Hux wasn't killed off and hoping to see more of him in the sequel. I'm really hoping Rey isn't Luke's daughter. There's been so much speculation at this point that would be a bigger twist.

+1

Is anyone else over George Lucas' moaning, BTW? Get over it, dude - your prequels were crap and this movie hearkens back to everything awesome people loved about the original three movies. Instead of bitching, you ought to be kissing JJ Abrams' ass DAILY. He has rescued the series from the depths of crapdom.

This had occurred to us as well. I think the force would definitely bring this group together when the timing is right and Leia knew it.

A different theory: "Many people — Boyega and Samuel L. Jackson himself included — think that Finn is the son of Mace Windu."

That makes SO much sense. If so, how do we think he got kidnapped by the First Order?

Its like Chelsea Clinton vs George P. Bush in the 2032 presidential election.

BITE. YOUR. TONGUE!!!!!!

How can you not care that nothing moved forward with the story if you like it so much? How it is better writing to just repeat the same plot, the same details, and even the basic traits of the characters? The prequels had too little dialogue, bad acting by Anakin, and too much violence but otherwise were fine in terms of plot. A 3rd death star/planet blown up in the series? Really? Why are we even teaching our kids to think critically and be innovative if we can't?

Yes, he did not notice. Looked at him really hard in the first battle scene in the movie.
