Not a young woman's athletic scholarship depends on pitching on the softball team or the university allowing a trans man to take your place and scholarship because they can't compete with non-trans men.

Kamala voter and I agree—the fact that this rarely happens is totally irrelevant to a low info voter. They don’t like it, people have to stop defending it and not be afraid to say that it’s wrong.

If it happens a single time, it’s happened too many times.

Biological males should not play sports on any level with women. They are not women, women are women. It’s not hurting their feelings, it’s telling the truth.

None of you gave a shit about women and girls sports until it gave you a reason to have a grievance against transwomen.

The only people I know who bring up this topic are female athletes and parents of daughters.

This is true.

Republican men were bringing it up constantly and I would expect that to continue even after Trump bans trans girls in girl’s sports because Republicans would melt away if they didn’t have something to be angry about. People still talk about Lia Thomas and she hasn’t swam in 2.5 years. Republicans talk more about trans people than trans people do.

That’s a lie. I was a woman in engineering school when there were very few of us. I care a lot about women and the educational progress we’ve made. Reality matters. I don’t care if it’s one person or a thousand. Girls shouldn’t have to acquiesce because a boy has gender dysphoria. His gender dysphoria doesn’t trump a girl’s right to a fair and safe playing field.

Thanks to Title IX, that's a significant part of the population. Add in everyone who has seen what athletics has done for women from business to the military to sports where women coach male and female sports. If you watched the Olympics, the best athletes were the women who primarily created the excitement around the games with their incredible performances.

How many Americans have daughters, granddaughters, and sisters? How many of those people don’t want them to have to compete against a biological male?

If it’s such a small portion of the country, why is my HR dept DEMANDING that I start including my pronouns on company emails and correspondence?

Because I don’t understand why I need to do that for such a small portion of the country.

I’ll take “things that didn’t happen” for $100.

But if it’s true, what’s the big deal??? Why is asking people to be respectful of everyone too much to ask????
.

Because most people find it disrespectful that we have to identify that we want to be addressed by our biological gender. Why is being respectful to biological men and women too much to ask?

This. I do not lead with my gender identity. I lead with my intellect. Putting my gender in my email is demeaning and harmful. I won’t do it.

Same. I don't add pronouns to LinkedIn or anything else. I won't do it. Period. I still respect those who "chose" to do it. But it should always be a choice. And removing that choice pisses me and a lot of people off.

You obtuse people still don't get it...it's not ONLY about transwomen in female sports. It's about ALL OF IT.

The cancel culture.
The gender identity wars.
The pronoun nonsense.
..and so on...

Then it's good that Democrats are finally talking about trans men. Trans men do not spark joy in the electorate despite Kamala's beliefs.

trump's ad on trans people was so effective not so much bc it was anti trans but bc it's a niche issue and he was staying - stop going on about it. there other things to talk about.
I freaking hated it but it was the single most effective piece of messaging in his entire campaign (yes i know this for a fact) not bc of trans hatred but bc does not affect most people.
but the repubs are a******s about it bc who cares if they play sports, use your bathroom.

This whole post is way off the mark. Democrats lost the election for "multiple reasons" -- that being said, one of the reasons is this:

A culmination of cancel culture, extremist DEI and woke culture, pronoun nonsense, social constructs not based on science.

I am disgusted by all the cancel culture, especially in regards to JK Rowling and I actually am a bigger fan of hers simply because she continues to stand her ground. Good for her! Recent Article below - I'm so proud of her.
https://www.newsweek.com/jk-rowling-politics-...omens-rights-1983654

They lost the election because people don't like this - and while too scared to voice it for fear of career damage and society cancelling - they were not scared to vote [or not vote or vote third party] accordingly and that's a big reason Trump won.

I recently went to an indie bookstore to buy the latest JK Rowling (writing as Robert Galbraith) book and was snootily told "we don't agree with her and do not carry her books." I said nothing but walked out of the store never to return. This is a woman-owned business and I was one of its first customers and bought hundreds of books from them. During the pandemic, I made cash donations so that they could pay their rent. I felt sick rather than angry that a woman I admired was so narrow minded.

Thank you for sharing and proving my point. This is one (of many) reasons Harris lost. The DNC has tied itself to this extremist cancel culture mindset. Then they turn around and blame this on "low info voters" and continue to deny deny deny. I regret voting for Harris because I am now seeing just how obtuse and "low info" the Democratic party truly is.

Doesn't matter if you campaign on identity issues when it's perceived that those issues are the true agenda of the Democratic party.
