Not a young woman's athletic scholarship depends on pitching on the softball team or the university allowing a trans man to take your place and scholarship because they can't compete with non-trans men.

Kamala voter and I agree—the fact that this rarely happens is totally irrelevant to a low info voter. They don’t like it, people have to stop defending it and not be afraid to say that it’s wrong.

Low info voters won this election for Trump. It’s not an insult, it’s just that most people vote on “vibes” more than anything else.

We can call them “average” voters if you want.

This whole post is way off the mark. Democrats lost the election for "multiple reasons" -- that being said, one of the reasons is this:

A culmination of cancel culture, extremist DEI and woke culture, pronoun nonsense, social constructs not based on science.

I am disgusted by all the cancel culture, especially in regards to JK Rowling and I actually am a bigger fan of hers simply because she continues to stand her ground. Good for her! Recent Article below - I'm so proud of her.
https://www.newsweek.com/jk-rowling-politics-...omens-rights-1983654

They lost the election because people don't like this - and while too scared to voice it for fear of career damage and society cancelling - they were not scared to vote [or not vote or vote third party] accordingly and that's a big reason Trump won.

I recently went to an indie bookstore to buy the latest JK Rowling (writing as Robert Galbraith) book and was snootily told "we don't agree with her and do not carry her books." I said nothing but walked out of the store never to return. This is a woman-owned business and I was one of its first customers and bought hundreds of books from them. During the pandemic, I made cash donations so that they could pay their rent. I felt sick rather than angry that a woman I admired was so narrow minded.

If it’s such a small portion of the country, why is my HR dept DEMANDING that I start including my pronouns on company emails and correspondence?

Because I don’t understand why I need to do that for such a small portion of the country.

I’ll take “things that didn’t happen” for $100.

But if it’s true, what’s the big deal??? Why is asking people to be respectful of everyone too much to ask????
.

Because most people find it disrespectful that we have to identify that we want to be addressed by our biological gender. Why is being respectful to biological men and women too much to ask?

If people voted on "vibes," Harris would have crushed Trump. Harris was running on the "vibes" of democracy, freedom, and joy rather than Trump's relevant issues of the economy and illegal immigration.

Liberals will probably double down and start ranting about even more extreme social positions. I’m curious, libs, what social issues are over the next hill?

If you're "pointing the blame at one specific demographic" for Democrats' losses in last week's elections, you're gravely "missing the mark," according to John Oliver.

The comedian tackled Kamala Harris' defeat during the most recent episode of Last Week Tonight, calling out supposed progressives who have turned against transgender people and blamed so-called "woke" issues for Donald Trump's win.

"It's telling how quickly some are jumping to predetermined conclusions that don't match the campaign that just wrapped up," Oliver said. "For instance, some Democrats are loudly claiming that the party needs to move to the center."

The host then referenced comments from New York congressman Tom Suozzi, a Democrat, who recently argued that "the Democrats have to stop pandering to the far left ... I don't want to discriminate against anybody, but I don't think biological boys should be playing in girls' sports." Other Democratic lawmakers have made similar claims in the wake of Harris' loss.

If you watch the clip, he is very forcefully rejecting the argument Suozzi made.

And he is forcefully wrong.

Anyone with school-aged kids knows this is not a small issue. It’s pervasive. Its in the schools, its in the doctors office, its everytime I fill out a form and get 13 choices for my child’s gender. I know I’m not the only mom who switched my vote to republican this year over it.

Just as one example, there are 5th graders at my kid’s school who identify as wolves and the other kids get in trouble if they use the term “furry” rather than “therian.” Meanwhile the few black kids at the school have been called racial slurs and rarely does anyone get in trouble…the admin seems totally clueless it’s even happening. This is in a purple state, with many Trump voters.

The sad and complicated truth, from someone who has been teaching 17 years, is that Trumpism has empowered kids and adults to say the “n-word” again. It disgusts me. It’s also absolutely true that the gender issue is pervasive, and Dems look dumb when they deny it. Another example…we have a HS state champion runner who is a trans girl, who keeps winning big, even though when she ran with the boys team she didn’t even place. Is it a huge deal to me personally? No. Would I vote for Trump because of it? No way.

But it IS happening and when Dems deny that it is, they piss people off. Plain and simple.

This +1000000000000000000
Even though I voted for Harris, barely, the denial I continue to see from the left is honestly disturbing....like, how obtuse can they be?

If it happens a single time, it’s happened too many times.

Biological males should not play sports on any level with women. They are not women, women are women. It’s not hurting their feelings, it’s telling the truth.

Yep. Julia Roberts told us our vote was secret, no one would know who we submitted in the ballot box. I certainly haven’t told any of my friends that I voted for Trump. I’m sure I’m not alone.

The many immigrants I know cared only about the economy. Most frequently heard on the job sites: "Trump will get more work for us." Immigrants simply want to work and make money. They consider trans and other Democratic social issues something Americans care about. They just want to make money.

This. I do not lead with my gender identity. I lead with my intellect. Putting my gender in my email is demeaning and harmful. I won’t do it.

Aren’t they Americans??? The fact that so many consider themselves not Americans definitely proves that Trump is right about the alien enemies act. If a democrat wins we should still denaturalize people that aren’t American.

None of you gave a shit about women and girls sports until it gave you a reason to have a grievance against transwomen.

I can see this too...and if they do...since Trump won't (hopefully) be around in 2028, I (a Harris voter), will most likely vote red.

The only people I know who bring up this topic are female athletes and parents of daughters.

Just the body language, the fervent religiosity, the absolute believe in his own rightness: it’s all remarkable. If you turned the volume off, and substituted graphics having to do with the evangelical Christians, you could not tell the difference based on body language. It’s quite something.

Oliver did the same sort of proselytizing around the UK elections by devoting an entire show to his hate of the Conservative government and his support of Labour, despite now being a US citizen. Jokes on him because Labour is struggling and the next Tory in live to lead the government is Kemi Badenoch, a no-nonsense WOC in the mold of Margaret Thatcher. Oliver is going to have a tough time railing against her, given his support for Kamala Harris.
