I don't think for most of us the main objection is the trans advantage in women's sports. I'm a teacher and for several years now we've been counseled against saying boys and girls in favor of more "gender inclusive" language. When visiting colleges with my daughters, the presenters would always begin by announcing their pronouns.

This is the kind of shift that most Americans find deeply troubling and quite frankly inane. This is our society, our culture, what the left is trying to push on us as normal. It's not just conservative that are fed up with this. It's really the norm among the majority although people are reluctant to speak openly about it. I know quite a few left leaning if not liberal people who have grumbled about feeling like they now need to add their pronouns to their work emails. Even my college daughter who is definitely a democrat says she feels like she needs to add her pronouns to her socials even though she thinks it's rather silly. I truly don't think the left realizes how much this stuff has alienated the majority of Americans.

Wait, so you’re alienated by adding pronouns to social media so others are clear on what you want to be called vs the rise in hate speech that’s being allowed and encouraged?

The pronouns? The pronouns?

A Trump in my family supporter is an
- obese person
- with a slew of health conditions
- working a low wage job
- uneducated
- doesn’t have retirement savings
- $6K in credit card debt
- can’t afford kids’ college
- can’t afford a house
- unprotected from layoffs and on a verge of being replaced by AI and losing healthcare coverage
- always on the verge of medical bankruptcy
- unprotected from the fallout of climate change

But the main problem is the pronouns?

Not lack of affordable education, not lack of affordable healthcare, not better quality food, not protecting environment from poisoning, not lack of upward mobility, none of that.. The pronouns!

Do they look at themselves in the mirror and think the biggest problem for me is the gender ambiguity? Or the biggest problem for me is that Mexican next door that goes to ER for free?

It’s moved well beyond “empathy” when we are asked to allow biological male bodies on our girls’ sports team and into their restrooms.

I think this is what we are experiencing now. I don’t think it mattered all that much who the democratic candidate was. We have just had COVID, Inflation, BLM Riots, conflicts in the Middle East, High Crime, Trans Issues, and the whole Male Loneliness / men falling behind thing. America has decided that they don’t want it and have brought Trump in to “right the cultural ship”. Kamala Harris is Walter Mondale in the second election if Reagan(who had a female running mate). He lost every state except Minnesota and DC

So funny how people call others snowflakes, etc. when all they are being asked to do is not be an a$$hole. Think about the words you use.

Then they whine, complain, cry when asked to do so. Yet have the gall to call other people what they, in fact, are.

For some people it might be the main problem, for others it was one of many problems voters had with the democrats.

Donald Trump's decisive victory last night marked one of the greatest moments in American history. It was a moment that will be remembered, written about, discussed, and studied centuries from now. It was truly a miraculous moment. To call it miraculous is not to in any way dismiss all of the very real work that was done by so many. It is to underscore that God’s hand can be felt and seen through all of this. It was a result that showed God’s goodness and His mercy. He is giving America another chance. That’s the kind of history that was made.
It was historic not only because Trump achieved a political comeback unlike anything in American history but also because he survived multiple assassination attempts and a relentless campaign of legal attacks aimed at keeping him off the ballot and putting him behind bars.
Donald Trump’s victory marks the day Americans took back control of their country, as he himself said last night. It showed a clear mandate: after years of lies and manipulation from the corporate press, Americans have finally had enough. The media, so-called “national security experts,” and corrupt prosecutors can no longer deceive or bully the public into submission. They can cry “racism” and “fascism” all they want—it doesn’t work anymore. They can’t pretend outrage over a comedian’s joke or push candidates with no real credibility and expect Americans to fall in line.
The media’s power to shape the narrative has collapsed. Their influence, once vast, is now impotent, with them talking only to each other, cut off from the reality that Americans live every day. Trump’s victory didn’t just break through the media’s grip on public opinion; it ended it. There’s no going back.

Lol. Only time will tell.

The media loves Trump. They made him.

Indeed they did. Many of them wanted a horse race. They wanted it to be close. They didn't actually think he would win, so they downplayed and sanewashed a lot of the crazy stuff he said and did, while beating down the other side.

For example, glaring disparity on their coverage of Biden calling "garbage" on the maligning of Puerto Rico, yet Trump got a total pass for all of the many many times he referred to Biden, Harris and Democrats as "scum" and "horrible people" and "absolute garbage" which got virtually zero coverage from the mainstream media.

I'm far more worried about hetero men around me and my daughter than any trans person.

And this is just not happening -men in women's bathrooms and teams- on any significant level. And even it if were, it could be handled to find a solution that wasn't demonizing people and without cruelty. But as usual, MAGA is not capable of that.

Do you never use a unisex bathroom, btw?

Dems sabotage themselves by not knowing when to stop.

The had a steady flow of illegals, but turned it into a flood. Too much.

They had legal abortion but pushed for late-term abortions & no notification of parents & government funding. Too much.

They had Title IX women’s equality in sports, but pushed for trans participation in women’s sports. Too far.

They got legalized gay marriage, but pushed for drag shows in elementary schools. Too much.

Some Dems are gluttonous progressives that are always going a bridge too far. Finally even many Democrats said “Enough!”

This, 100%. There is reasonable and there is unreasonable, and the Dems lost sight of the distinction, with the result we just saw.

Hopefully, this election will be a hard reset

You could just move to a gated community in Florida. Seriously everybody is white unless you're mowing the grass. The gay folks are all in the closet for the most part. I don't think there's much human reproduction going on and it is certainly not discussed in any way. There aren't any children so you don't need to be upset about anything that's going on with them. There's a beautiful pool and pickleball. Everything is inside the comfort zone.

It’s not about being “asked not to be an a hole.” The last four years were about way more than common courtesy. There are real opposition in rights, when for example females are asked to give up sex based rights in favor of gender identity rights. That impacts athletic scholarships and privacy concerns and these issues have even moved into parental custody disputes when one parent supports an affirmative position on identity and another doesn’t.

We can’t have a real discussion if you are going to pretend this was all about not being an a hole.

My 75 year old father went to urgent care recently and was so confused when the paperwork asked for his pronouns and his gender identity. He thought “they” was for twins.

so respect and language is the problem??? When you father was born calling people Coloreds and limiting what bathroom they could use was the norm.

Wait, so you’re alienated by adding pronouns to social media so others are clear on what you want to be called vs the rise in hate speech that’s being allowed and encouraged?

That’s right they don’t like pronouns and to be called racist. But they’re fine with calling women and minorities scum because it’s just a mean tweet.

It absolutely is happening at a significant level. Look at the boycotts of collegiate women, willing to lose games rather than risk their safety playing against male bodies. Look at the firing of the coaches speaking up for their female players. Look at the two winners of the female boxing category at the Olympics. You can bury your head in the sand or you can open your eyes.

Ignore the troll. That didn’t happen. Just had my kid in the ER in DC of all places and that is not a question.

Well, rest assured. We’ll only have mass games like DPRK in the future. Army uniform for everyone that will render them indistinguishable.

There are many POC...muslims, latinos, asians, etc. who voted for Trump..why? Because they are all socially conservative and have had enough of getting all the left liberal thinking stuffed down their throats. Being told you "had" to use pronouns, you "had" to accept that LGBTQ+ as the "norm". By forcing this you basically crapped all over their religious and socially conservative values. You refused to give a little and concede. Oh well, this was the result. And it's only going to get worse because you pushed too hard.
