Political Discussion
Uh, cuz he got a lot of votes? Dems obsess about preserving “the democracy” but then throw a tantrum when their person doesn’t win. Then they call Republicans idiots. |
We shall see. A ban on transwomen in women’s sports would be wildly popular. Trump has a very good sense of what is popular. At a minimum he is going to yank the ridiculous Title 9 changes pushed by Biden (I will never forget the life of me understand why Biden did that in an election year). But I think Trump’s EO will go further. You clearly have no idea how universally loathed the Democratic position on this issue is. |
Idiot, it’s the foot-in-the-door syndrome. A few decades ago, the gay rights movement consisted of humble pleas to allow them to do what they wanted “in the privacy of [their] own bedrooms.” Fast-forward a few decades & people are getting fired for using the wrong pronoun. The Left’s lunacy has no limits, & it’s easier to stop it when it’s beginning rather than when it gets to the full drag-queens-in-elementary-schools stage. |

Wow. Are these people having sex in front of you? Who was fired for using the wrong pronouns? |
The fact that you think people are caring about this will be this admin's undoing. The election was about inflation and your head will spin at how fast things will turn against you. |
The election was about two things: inflation AND social issues. |
Keep telling yourself that |
The frustration is real. I am a libertarian-leaning republican and I personally don’t care what adults do / how they want to dress / who they date or marry, etc. But a good friend, who is a gay man, told me how frustrated he is after recently re-joining the online dating community. Not sure which dating site he tired (might have been grinder or tinder? I do not recall), but: - the site refuses to “discriminate on biological sex.” Therefore, my friend ended up initially communicating with a biological WOMAN who identifies as male. He only wants to date men! What’s wrong with that? Why can’t my gay male friend choose to meet only other biological men? It’s ridiculous. And it’s an outgrowth of the whole “woke movement” nonsense which Kamala Harris spoke about publicly, and backed fully. |

“I sincerely want to know, how did these people affect your life? “
Because #1 it is a lie to say a trans-woman is a woman, which is an insult to real women, and #2 portraying perversion and abnormality as something normal, even to be proud of, is offensive and corrupts the minds of children who may not know that this is wrong. |
The problem is that in the eugenics moment it was the white women who were deemed feebleminded and housed in institutions. I don’t think the “mentally unstable” slippery slope is one women should be so eager to jump on. |
How do you square the things coming out of the proud boy’s mouth not being offensive to children? You hold some rando as having more influence than the president? Wow. I would live to live in your mind for a hot minute to see how the wheels turn. |
So you take that up with Grinder, a privately run company. But you don't elect a sexual assaulter, convicted felon, lying grifter to run our country because his dating app experience isn't up to snuff. And the Dems are supposed to be so out of touch?? Good lord. Your skins are so razor thin. |
You seem pretty deeply in denial. The most effective campaign ads of the entire campaign were Trump’s “they/them” ads. Inflation was a huge issue, yes. But this election wasn’t just about inflation. It was also about social issues, and the Democratic position on a lot of social issues is widely hated. Not just trans, but state suppression of speech, insertion of the state into the parent-child relationship, compelled speech, etc. DEI is perceived as anti-working-class. Border policies. The Democrats have never said no to the extreme left on social issues. They mistakenly let extremists guide them, rather than listening to where the country actually was. |
I mean, the Democrats pretty much are objectively out of touch. That seems pretty incontrovertible at this point, yes? |
