I don't think for most of us the main objection is the trans advantage in women's sports. I'm a teacher and for several years now we've been counseled against saying boys and girls in favor of more "gender inclusive" language. When visiting colleges with my daughters, the presenters would always begin by announcing their pronouns.

This is the kind of shift that most Americans find deeply troubling and quite frankly inane. This is our society, our culture, what the left is trying to push on us as normal. It's not just conservative that are fed up with this. It's really the norm among the majority although people are reluctant to speak openly about it. I know quite a few left leaning if not liberal people who have grumbled about feeling like they now need to add their pronouns to their work emails. Even my college daughter who is definitely a democrat says she feels like she needs to add her pronouns to her socials even though she thinks it's rather silly. I truly don't think the left realizes how much this stuff has alienated the majority of Americans.

Look at the firing of the coaches speaking up for their female players. Look at the two winners of the female boxing category at the Olympics. But they are not ordinary. Transgender people are 0.08 % of the population (give or take). Transgender people are NOT the norm. They are not even a minority; they are a tiny fraction of the population of our democracy (democracy meaning: representational rule by the majority).

So how does a fraction of one percent of the population deserve 90% of our national attention? (hint: they don’t).

These people affected my life by playing victim, fooling a vast number of voters, and nearly boosting Kamala into the POTUS position.

The frustration is real. I am a libertarian-leaning republican and I personally don’t care what adults do / how they want to dress / who they date or marry, etc.

But a good friend, who is a gay man, told me how frustrated he is after recently re-joining the online dating community. Not sure which dating site he tired (might have been grinder or tinder? I do not recall), but:

- the site refuses to “discriminate on biological sex.” Therefore, my friend ended up initially communicating with a biological WOMAN who identifies as male.

He only wants to date men! What’s wrong with that?

The problem is that in the eugenics moment it was the white women who were deemed feebleminded and housed in institutions. I don’t think the “mentally unstable” slippery slope is one women should be so eager to jump on.

I’m taking Trump at face value, while many people clearly are not. When he said he wants to deport the mentally deranged, I point out that white women were considered that only 100 years ago. I don't think for most of us the main objection is the trans advantage in women's sports. I'm a teacher and for several years now we've been counseled against saying boys and girls in favor of more "gender inclusive" language. When visiting colleges with my daughters, the presenters would always begin by announcing their pronouns.

This is the kind of shift that most Americans find deeply troubling and quite frankly inane. This is our society, our culture, what the left is trying to push on us as normal. It's not just conservative that are fed up with this. It's really the norm among the majority although people are reluctant to speak openly about it. I know quite a few left leaning if not liberal people who have grumbled about feeling like they now need to add their pronouns to their work emails. Even my college daughter who is definitely a democrat says she feels like she needs to add her pronouns to her socials even though she thinks it's rather silly. I truly don't think the left realizes how much this stuff has alienated the majority of Americans.

I am really am horrified that men literally are insisting that I have to call them women. And to further clarify, I, the woman, must actually refer to myself as a ciswoman. But the conservatives are the problem? The ones who just want to live and let live?

You misread. I agree with you. The person threatening women that they will go into insane asylums if we don’t chant “transwomen are women” does not. That PP was threatening women who disagree with gender ideology.

Trump voters are incensed about trans gender because it constantly pops up on their social media. They think it’s normalized and that their kids are going to change genders. The GOP created and is fueling this identity crap. It’s your own party dummies. This started with the Michelle Duggar robo calls that men were going to use women’s bathrooms. No no, I got that. I should have been more clear. My post was in agreement. The other poster does not see womanhood as threatened by men who go to extreme lengths to parody women and parade around with what they know are the most exagerrated aspects of womanhood and we are excoriated if we don't publicly say "transwomen are women."
