I don't think for most of us the main objection is the trans advantage in women's sports. I'm a teacher and for several years now we've been counseled against saying boys and girls in favor of more "gender inclusive" language. When visiting colleges with my daughters, the presenters would always begin by announcing their pronouns.

This is the kind of shift that most Americans find deeply troubling and quite frankly inane. This is our society, our culture, what the left is trying to push on us as normal. It's not just conservative that are fed up with this. It's really the norm among the majority although people are reluctant to speak openly about it. I know quite a few left leaning if not liberal people who have grumbled about feeling like they now need to add their pronouns to their work emails. Even my college daughter who is definitely a democrat says she feels like she needs to add her pronouns to her socials even though she thinks it's rather silly. I truly don't think the left realizes how much this stuff has alienated the majority of Americans.

Wait, so you’re alienated by adding pronouns to social media so others are clear on what you want to be called vs the rise in hate speech that’s being allowed and encouraged?

It’s a national refusal to play pretend with mentally ill people anymore. I have no problem with trans people in general. Unfortunately they’re already a fringe community that was then plagued with an even more fringe community of mentally unstable people seeking a place in society. I’ve seen countless trans individuals express their frustration with the situation.

The pronouns? The pronouns?

A Trump in my family supporter is an
- obese person
- with a slew of health conditions
- working a low wage job
- uneducated
- doesn’t have retirement savings
- $6K in credit card debt
- can’t afford kids’ college
- can’t afford a house
- unprotected from layoffs and on a verge of being replaced by AI and losing healthcare coverage
- always on the verge of medical bankruptcy
- unprotected from the fallout of climate change

But the main problem is the pronouns?

Not lack of affordable education, not lack of affordable healthcare, not better quality food, not protecting environment from poisoning, not lack of upward mobility, none of that.. The pronouns!

Do they look at themselves in the mirror and think the biggest problem for me is the gender ambiguity? Or the biggest problem for me is that Mexican next door that goes to ER for free?

For some people it might be the main problem, for others it was one of many problems voters had with the democrats.

Well now, lack of affordable healthcare, unaffordable colleges, expensive, crappy, processed, preservative laden garbage food, inability to afford a house and rents too expensive, homeowners unable to get their homes insured because of climate change, corporate monopolies, falling prey to identity theft, phone and email scams, predatory lenders, all of that is now the problem they need to reconcile with Republicans because Democrats are now irrelevant and out of the picture. And it will get worse. If they can barely afford to treat themselves for a dinner out now, just wait til Jose and Carlos and most of the kitchen staff get deported and it gets a whole lot more expensive. If they can't afford housing now, just wait til half of the construction crews are gone. If the stuff they buy at Walmart is getting expensive now, just wait til Trump's tariffs hit and the prices double. But hey at least they won their dumb pronoun battle.

Those are the "many problems" that the Trump voters will absolutely need to accept ownership of. You won, there's no more Democrat blaming you can do.

It’s moved well beyond “empathy” when we are asked to allow biological male bodies on our girls’ sports team and into their restrooms.

I'm far more worried about hetero men around me and my daughter than any trans person.

And this is just not happening -men in women's bathrooms and teams- on any significant level. And even it if were, it could be handled to find a solution that wasn't demonizing people and without cruelty. But as usual, MAGA is not capable of that.

Do you never use a unisex bathroom, btw?

This! I have two teenage daughters, one in college. After seeing the signs at that Texas Tech demonstration I fear for my daughter’s safety as well. All the extreme sexist macho bros will feel comfortable coming out and denigrating women now, more than ever. Yet, there will still be some females, who are brainwashed enough, that will entertain their advances. I told my daughters to never feel the pressure to give me grandchildren. No need to marry a looser just because the clock is ticking.

"Can you provide a definition for the word man?”

Anyone that identifies as a man.

Do you apply that same logic to Rachel Dolezal? If not, why not?

If she identifies as a man, sure.

What is she identifies as black?[/quote

No. It's only okay for men to parody women, everything else is off limits.

Do you not understand that when you take female spaces like restrooms away from us, you make bathrooms less safe BECAUSE of the actions of heterosexual men? That’s the whole issue. A man in women’s room used to be a reason to call the police. Now a woman feels that she has to bury her discomfort and keep quiet even at the risk of her physical safety. People aren’t fearing trans individuals, they fear men using the access to female spaces like prisons and restrooms to harm them.

It absolutely is happening at a significant level. Look at the boycotts of collegiate women, willing to lose games rather than risk their safety playing against male bodies. Look at the firing of the coaches speaking up for their female players. Look at the two winners of the female boxing category at the Olympics. You can bury your head in the sand or you can open your eyes.

I have college athletes on my own and I've been to countless athletic events in college and elsewhere. This is not a thing. Youth sports, college sports, high school sports. They are rolling along as the billion dollar business that they are . relax

My 75 year old father went to urgent care recently and was so confused when the paperwork asked for his pronouns and his gender identity. He thought “they” was for twins.

so respect and language is the problem??? When you father was born calling people Coloreds and limiting what bathroom they could use was the norm.

Ignore the troll. That didn’t happen. Just had my kid in the ER in DC of all places and that is not a question.

I work in multiple hospitals and it absolutely is a question. Many providers quietly choose not to ask it because the vast majority of patients are either baffled or offended.

Okay, well then let's suffer through a trump presidency because of a confusing question on a form. that makes sense.

Trump can just replace it with some other question that will confuse a 75-year-old because there's kind of a lot of those.

But you have no problem with all the drag queens and transwomen completely denigrating women with their parodies and playing to the absolutest dumbest stereotypes of women--then demanding we all not just accept, but celebrate it? Then tell all our poor children who are struggling with depression or loneliness that the quick fix is just cutting off genitals? I mean, men have been macho d**heads for centuries, this is not new. What is new is the erasure of women, but you're too worried about protecting trans people to look at the longterm implications of that.

I think you mean "White hetero men are pathetic." This has been the D campaign message. Brilliant way to bring 30% of the voting population into the fold.

Call the police? Just stop. I have multiple kids in college and the bathrooms are not separated male and female. Like none of them. There are some that are just singles if you require that. No one is calling the police. What a load of utter crap.

You call Trump voters small-minded then show that you have no capacity to see that what you consider to be a trivial little change in language (and by the way, if it's so meaningless, let's just stop it then) to be the tipping point for the erasure and legitimacy of women.

The left always starts with denial before moving to “it’s not happening at all significant level” to “it’s happening and it’s a good thing”.

Tell the San Jose state volleyball team that they didn’t boycott a game for fear of their safety. Tell the coach that she wasn’t suspended - well actually, address the title ix lawsuit she just fired. Her name is Melissa Smoose.

According to the UN report, "Violence Against Women and Girls in Sports," transgender athletes have won around 900 medals in different women's sports at several events, replacing female athletes.

And again there are single bathrooms for any student that is uncomfortable with that situation. So just stop.

And it was a bunch of whiny b****** that made it that way anyway. The boys have this. The girls have this. The colleges were just like shut the f****** and you're all just going to use the same one.
