I think this is what we are experiencing now. I don’t think it mattered all that much who the democratic candidate was. We have just had COVID, Inflation, BLM Riots, conflicts in the Middle East, High Crime, Trans Issues, and the whole Male Loneliness / men falling behind thing. America has decided that they don’t want it and have brought Trump in to “right the cultural ship”. Kamala Harris is Walter Mondale in the second election if Reagan(who had a female running mate). He lost every state except Minnesota and DC
As a Trump voter - who is a white woman with a master's degree. I believe this totally nails it.
I actually don't consider myself a Republican, I'm a former Democrat who now identifies as an Independent. My views are more along the lines of Bill Maher. There's much I don't like about Trump and the Republican party overall. But the left has gone off the rails, big time. I don't think they have any idea of how much they have alienated middle of the road, possibly even left leaning people. People like Joe Rogan, Pierce Brosnan, Elon Musk. People who just a few years ago weren't considered right wing.
The left's views on social issues has just become way out of touch for most Americans many of us feel desperate to put a stop to it.
