As more and more women have dire health outcomes even for WANTED pregnancies, this will become an avalanche of losses for Republicans.

Just ask Ireland.

And it's not just young women. Young women are going to think twice about casual relationships if abortion isn't an option. It affects young men too. Hell, I know a ton of married folks where the husband is getting snipped because of this.

This is one of the stupidest things I've ever read. So very "believable."

You people are so tiresome. There was a documented significant increase in vasectomy procedures following the Dobbs decision according to a study published in the medical journal that studies impotence.

I'm pro-choice, but... good? Why is having a vasectomy somehow bad? It's a very valid form of birth control. Certainly more valid than relying on an abortion to fix that pesky pregnancy!

Yes it’s good, that wasn’t the point. The point is for the PP who said that it was stupid and “so very believable” to suggest that such an increase is occurring.

The stupid part is bolded. The idea that anyone would "know tons of married folks" getting vasectomies... or that young women will think twice about casual relationships if abortion isn't "an option." I mean, seriously? Do you people hear yourselves? Try using birth control and stop thinking of abortion as your get-out-of-jail free card.

Not everyone does and even then it’s not always effective. If women don’t have any recourse, then they’re definitely going to think twice about those relationships. But that’s what you wanted, amirite? The point is this affects young men too. They want to have sex and this is making it harder.

Newsflash. Young people are always liberal. Wait until they have kids, get real jobs, pay taxes, and have wealth. You think 18 year olds with Wendy's jobs and attending college have a clue how the world works. Lol, have you been to a college recently? They're clueless children. My wife just left her job at a university. The stupidity of college kids was astounding. So many were incapable of doing something as simple as opening up a bank account and filling out the paperwork to receive direct deposit in order to get paid from their on campus job. No wonder why a cohort that inept at the basics of life is easily duped by clownshows like AOC.

You’re ignorant. Have you been to a college recently? GenZ is the native digital generation and more globally connected than previous generations. They are on track to be the most well educated in history, more racially and ethnically diverse, more tolerant, politically, environmentally, and socially savvy. They have years of internship experience prior to graduating. They choose to work for companies where they’ll make an impact on ESG issues. Their purchasing power is aligned with companies that pay fair wages, invest in their employees, diversity and inclusion. This is corporate America’s target audience. And they’re investing heavily in them. They’re “woke” and fierce. Step away in fear.

Weak. The PP said she knew a lot of people who were getting vasectomies, you scoffed, and lo and behold the data says there are a lot more people getting vasectomies. There are also women who’ve suffered through terrible wanted but doomed pregnancies under the new laws who are getting their tubes tied instead of trying to have more babies. Those links are all in the Roe thread here https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1066380.page since you don’t believe anything anyone says.

In 2022, we all showed up and saved you all and Dems kept the Senate, and only lose a few seats in the house, but now we want action. WE want REAL GUN CONTROL. We don't our kids to have go to though the same lockdowns and fears of a school shooting we had too.

We want college loan reforms.
We want living wage and want to buy a house one day.
We know it won't be done with soon, but we want it to be a work in process, meet us halfway please.

May I remind you that people in Hell want ice water.

Those rightward shifts among Millennials are tiny. The question is whether those rightward shifts will overwhelm the effects of Gen Zers reaching voting age. I strongly, strongly doubt that.

Yes, they will, because there are a lot more of them.

There are more Millennials, yes, but... that doesn't matter. What matters is whether the number of Millennials switching to Republicans is greater the number of Democratic Gen Zers reaching voting age. That's what I am doubting.

Millennials aren’t shifting toward Republicans as they age. Your party is so sh!tty that it has broken that paradigm.

God, please do, Gen Z. I'm a Millennial parent and was explaining to my son today how screwed we are on climate change and how we (Milennials) are only starting to have a bit of power to do anything about it. It's so, so frustrating that the Silent Generation and Boomers are still dictating our futures -- ones that they'll never be a part of.

Millions of boomers are pro choice and pro aggressive climate policies and will vote accordingly.

And we appreciate that, but you’ve got to be aware that more of your age cohort votes for Republicans.

I was a die-hard liberal Democrat during college and my 20s. Then I had a family and gradually have become more conservative. There is no way I would vote for a current Democrat. Bill Clinton was the last true moderate - there's no one like him anymore.

How do the Democrats interfere with your "family?"

So stupid.

I am 62. Liberal from my teens all the way until now.

Being "conservative" is just another way of saying you are selfish.

So stupid, indeed ^^. When liberals demand everyone else pay for their college loans, it's crystal clear what party I WON'T be voting for. When liberals insist on including graphically sexual books in school libraries, they're giving me yet another reason not to vote for them. When liberals push for biological males to compete against biological females, they've lost my vote. When liberals insist there's no crisis at the border, they are gaslighting and deeply embarrassing themselves. I could go on and on, but I think that's more than enough evidence of how Democrats interfere with my family.

Do you resent the money we all have to spend on the military?
Do your kids check out a lot of sexual books from their school library? Cause having volunteered in the elementary school library, there aren’t.
You play a lot of professional sports?
You live at the border?

A lot of what you consider to “interfere with your family” is mostly in your imagination.

Like I said, selfish. Thanks for proving it.

Also incredibly uneducated. You don't understand the student loan issue and haven't done your homework.

There's a handful of biological males competing against women. It is a non issue.

No one us forcing your kid to read a graphic novel. But sure, jump on the censorship train.

The right easily whips up fake hysteria in people like you.

Too funny. Anyone not voting for your agenda is "selfish" and "uneducated." Every word you just typed is selfish, uneducated, and downright absurd. If you had a daughter who had to compete against a biological male, this wouldn't be the "non-issue" you pretend it is. Having age-appropriate books in a public school library isn't "censorship," it's common sense. You can order all the graphically sexual books you want on Amazon for your own kids, or just take them to your local public library.

And most tellingly of all - you didn't even touch on the border issue. Because you have absolutely no leg to stand on.

No fake hysteria here, just simple facts. You, however, seem to be quite hysterical that anyone would push back on your nonsense.

Well you’re not Gen Z or a Millennial so you’re kind of surplus to requirements on this argument. As well as hateful and obviously scared.

Overturning roe really pissed off a lot of boomers and gen x moms. We held rights but our kids are set back to the early 70s? I don't think so. Not without a mother of a fight.

Are we not believing women any more? Do you think the swimmers from Kentucky and Penn were lying about their discomfort with Lia Thomas? Should the SA survivor’s feelings of safety matter less than Thomas’? Because presumably Thomas had to change with afabs because they were worried about the men in a mens’ locker room, right? So Thomas should get to feel safe at the expense of their teammates/competitors? Please answer and be specific about what afabs should have to deal with to spare trans women’s feelings. It’s not actually such a new thing to expect women to “be kind” and allow any boundaries to be crushed by men. So progressive!
