GEN Z will save America....

GEN Z will save America.

Most of us will be voting for President for first time in November 2024. In 2022, we all showed up and saved you all and Dems kept the Senate, and only lose a few seats in the house, but now we want action. WE want REAL GUN CONTROL. We don't our kids to have go to though the same lockdowns and fears of a school shooting we had too.

We want college loan reforms.
We want living wage and want to buy a house one day.
We know it won't be done with soon, but we want it to be a work in process, meet us halfway please.

Meh, millennials are a bigger cohort and are turning red

Those rightward shifts among Millennials are tiny. The question is whether those rightward shifts will overwhelm the effects of Gen Zers reaching voting age. I strongly, strongly doubt that.

This Gen Xer turns bluer every year. Not everyone gets conservative as they get older.

Go Gen Z!

On the college front, we really need to scrutinize college tuition. I’ll bet there is very little understanding among the regents and president of how money is really spent.

Also, hopefully this idea that every well paying job requires a college degree needs to be addressed as well. Vocational education needs to be elevated as a viable path and not some second rate one.

However we live in a representative democracy (right Trumpers) and this data shows less than half of millennials are tending red.

Me too. At this point, even my blood is blue. I'll never vote GOP again (I used to early on in my voting life).

Who on earth are you appealing to? Dems would love to give you those things. They can’t because of Republican opposition. Thank you for helping us get a slim majority in the Senate, but your agenda can only become a reality if Dems control the Senate, House and WH for much longer than 2 years (without having to count on Manchin or Sinema) or Republicans start engaging in good faith bipartisan participation in governing. 90% of Americans want better gun control. The Dems aren’t the reason we don’t have it.

Me too. I've never voted GOP, and I'm getting increasingly liberal in my "old age." -- GenXer

We are not paying off your college loans in exchange for you voting blue.

I wish someone would run on a platform to force administrative cuts and tuition reductions at colleges in exchange for continuing to receive Federal research funding/access to student loans for their schools.

This is mostly me, except I DID vote for one R candidate in my very first election. You know why? Because I had volunteered on our current Prez's Senate campaign and even THEY liked Mike Castle (who was a very moderate R) more than the D candidate.

But I absolutely get more and more liberal as I age. Not to mention the Rs get more and more insane and anti-democracy

The only people considering vocational education as second rate is you. Please don't speak for others. Most of us understand the trades can easily clear 6 figures making their own schedules.

If Gen Z saves us from another four years of Trump lunacy and degradation of democracy and basic decency - then I agree we should meet Gen Z at least half way. Your requests would help nearly everyone in some way anyway.
