Of course it’s relevant |
Hope you thanked Daddy! |
Even then it would have been nearly impossible for people two years out of college to buy a house in Bethesda with family help. PP is burying the lead. |
^^^without family help |
Family help is key in these scenarios people conveniently leave that out |
So many red flags here. I do hope it works out for them |
Salaries are going down. Everything is going up. Not everyone has mommy and daddy paying their way. In the case of ops daughter they are taking on massive debt |
I don’t see any red flags here; I don’t know what’s wrong with you. |
+1 My husband and I lived in a tiny apartment with two kids until those kids were 8 and 5. We moved into a nice house when we could afford the down payment (no help from parents) and our student loans were paid off. There is nothing wrong with living in a tiny apartment, especially if you don't have kids! |
| Say that you are happy for them! I would be proud to have raised such responsible, young adults who aren't living an extended adolescence. They sound like mature and capable individuals. |
Nope. Just two high five-figure salaries & no debt. |
They haven’t accomplished anything (except med school). |
My sister got married in her early twenties and worked in finance supporting her husband through med school. She is super successful two decades later as is her husband. There’s a difference between college/grad school educated women who marry young and people without these degrees. |

Literally anyone can cohabitate & marry. Anyone. |
