Hilary Swank pregnant with twins

Anonymous
Does anyone else think that celebrities do that to prevent the Christian wackos from coming after them for using ART?

I have donor egg twins and I told everyone that twins run in the family when I was asked.

I was in a bunch of donor egg online support groups and I'd say that 99% of people don't tell a soul about using donor eggs: not their sister, mother, best friend, etc.
We will talk about IVF but not the donor part. It's way too controversial. Who wants to set their kid up for criticism from conservatives, etc? Much easier not to say a thing to ANYONE.

No. I think they just believe in delusional fantasies and want to project a perfect image that defies all logic. They age naturally, lose weight with out even trying, have miracle pregnancies, and just have all the luck in the world. But, it's all smoke and mirrors.

They probably have been trying a long time with a combo of her eggs, donor eggs, maybe they've explored adoption, who knows and the fact that they are now on the road to two babies is a miracle, even if was achieved using other eggs.

What do you think she means when she says "twins run in the family"?

Why do you care? She can say what she wants. If you don’t believe it, fine.

+1. Twins run in the family (not just one side, either!) is a clear statement suggesting that this was a "natural" event.

It might not be. Why add that mindset? Your friend is an adult and can make her own choices/analysis.

Ummm because she could miss out on her chance to be a mother? Which it looks like she has.

"Wackos" are people who believe in natural pregnancies and not rich people creating babies in a lab, with other people's eggs, other people's sperm, and often using modern day slaves to carry the baby to term? Riiiiiiight.

Anonymous wrote:I watched her interview on Good Morning America, and she never said it was a miracle or that twins run in her family.

I have had 3 pregnancies (two healthy kids and one termination), all over the age of 39. All conceived pretty quickly and naturally. So yes, some women are fertile well into their 40s and no, I am not a unicorn. I know lots of oops babies born to friends over 40, incl. one friend who just delivered her unplanned healthy 3rd child at age 46.

She didn’t say it in that interview, she said it in another interview - that it’s a “total miracle” and that twins run in her husband’s family. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/hilary-swank-pregnant_n_633dfb6be4b04cf8f369cd9b/amp

She said it on Live with Ryan and Kelly - that twins run in both her and her husband’s family. 🙄

“Hilary later went on Live with Kelly and Ryan and said that she’s feeling “great” right now. "But my clothes started not to fit so I had to, the other day ... cut [my jeans] open." Hilary also shared that twins run in her family and her husband’s family. "It's such a blessing. It's a total miracle. It's unbelievable," she said.”

Imagine believing this. It's selfish, gross, and an extremely dangerous pregnancy. Why not fess up and admit you sacrificed your childbearing years for money and fame. Why not be transparent on how hard it's been to get pregnant naturally after you turn 30 let alone 35. Why not be open about anything past age 35 is a geriatric pregnancy. Playing pretend does nothing but promote a lie to harm other younger women who think they can wait.

Because nosy and controlling people who care about other people’s personal decisions are dangerous.

If average people look to celebrities as role models for their own reproductive decisions then whatever happens is on them.

+1 iq as uncomfortable with this too. Who cares if they run in the family when you used IVF? IVF causes multiples too.

+1 Why would this drive you crazy, OP?

Because it gives young woman false hopes. And the wrong medical information.
