It's weird to be so close minded and not care about others feelings and tell them to shut up. Ultimately I bet you typically follow the letter of the law (except in etiquette where you are squarely on the wrong side) and come across as rude and the opposite of gracious anyway |
| In our community (suburb of Baltimore) it's always Miss First Name. There have been a few rare occasions when a child has addressed me, unprovoked, as Mrs Last Name, and it has always been a child from a Spanish speaking household. I don't care what anyone calls me. |

- Mr and Mrs - Last Name - Unless they tell the kids to call them Mr/Ms First Name or just First Name. - First Name Aunty/Uncle - If they are from the Indian subcontinent (which contains 7 countries) - Aunty/Uncle First Name - If they are Chinese/Taiwan or Chinese-Taiwanese American. |
