Does anyone else hate summer? I need to know I'm not alone.

I love summer. This year is looking really good too. We always go to our beach house up north and relax for a few weeks, and then at the end of August go back to Germany for a bit.

If you hate summer so much, you should take solace in the fact that you may only have 20 or so left perhaps. Then you won't have to deal with it any more.

Frickin tear down and rebuild across the street started on kids last day of HS. So at 6:55 am the banging starts. Husband an I WAH and I was so looking forward to sleeping in until end of August. Nothing drowns out the hammering/banging, ugh!!!!!

NO, it's my favorite time of the year. June is the best month. It hasn't been very hot here so far, but there are 90s on the horizon. I love taking nighttime walks with a bit of humidity and watching the fireflies. Top it off with a cold shower, and ice cold glass of pinot grigio. Heaven.

How much of this is just our physiology? I break into a hideous sweat as soon as the temp hits 75. Me and my children get mosquito bites within minutes of being outdoors. The scratching can lead to infections. The repellants that work smell noxious. I mean it’s just physically awful. Of course I like pools and fireworks and ice cream but we can’t enjoy any of that in DC.
