Agreed! Winner is crowned Queen of the DMV! |
That would be fun. I'm sure both sides would be on board. GC is the only team that has consistently been a top team in the area year in and year out, regardless of if they have been "the" top team. Like him or not, MH seems to get the best out of his players and the majority seem to like to play for him. He won't be everyone's cup of tea but DD likes him and appreciated that even when she was on JV that he knew her name and takes an interest in all of the players not just his varsity stars. |
No. Just my DD's former teammates to see how everyone's doing. I'm a former D1 player myself and very involved with local lacrosse. It's a major pasttime of mine. And I'm quite knowledgeable, so I know who is from where. Glad to know that blows your mind. |
What?! Are you new here? Have you heard of a school called St. Stephens / St. Agnes? |
Exactly - SSSAS is the only truly top team from DC year in and year out over the long term (decades) even though there is increasing parity in DC area teams now. |
How about we just let High School lacrosse go and move on to summer club and a life. One team wins ISL and one team wins WCAC. Virginia schools also have VISSA playoffs. Enough already! |
When is the last time they were nationally ranked though? ISL championships are nice for the school but national ranking matters more to a programs reputation overall and girls recruiting. |
This is true unfortunately and partly by design of the capital system. |
Can you send this analysis please? Would love to see it. |
I thought about trying to put it together, but it would require a massive amount of data and be exhausting. Maybe an AI could do it. |
2019 they were 4th laxnumbers or 6th in IL for USA 2020 covid 2021 covid reduced season 2022 16th usa laxnumbers or 13th in mid Atlantic IL |
| Laxnumbers is highly regarded as having an incorrect formula across all levels of play. SR, Visi & GC have had a national presence since covid. |
I love seeing all those “Inside Lacrosse 12th National Ranking” hanging from the rafters. You play to win trophies and games. They have more appearances than any other DMV school by far nationally. They also have 14 Recruits currently. I guess it’s easy to make dumb comments when you are talking out your back side. |
So ISL and VISAA chips aren’t enough and Laxnumbers don’t know what they are doing. Only proper way to rank a a lax program is by the opinion of some rando on a rando forum. |
This is sad. Any team that argues and fights on the field like this Potomac team did when they were losing is not a “cute tight knit bond” team. A tightly bonded team supports each other to get through tough games. |
