Help me understand Republican women in their 30s and 40s

Idk why the formatting messed up. But the point is this. Depressing as it is, a grifting felon with dementia is going to beat the Democratic candidate with dementia, in an election that the Democrats should have walked away with but have instead leaned in to destroying their credibility and catering to the totally insane parts of their party. It is bleak.

Republicans think that Democrats are misguided and naive because-they remain committed to policies that fail.

Democrats think Republicans are stupid racist haters who should be killed or sent to re-education camps.

It’s weird to see how the more compassionate party has started to dehumanize and hate their neighbors and fellow Americans.

One revealing difference between the two parties was about how to punish people who weren’t getting enough Pfizer products. Lots of Democrats, especially around here, publicly called for forced injections and forcible removal from society of anyone who refused. There was lots of enthusiasm for banning human beings from stores, schools, workplaces, lots of enthusiasm for denying people money, denying people medical treatment, sending them away to isolation camps, etc. It was scary. A lot of Democrats seem to get enraged when people don’t agree with them, so enraged that they want disagreers to be physically punished.

The title of this thread is a common Democratic formulation. “Help me understand Republican women” because I literally cannot fathom how anyone could disagree with any of my political ideas.

You can just make up crap, but it’s still made up crap.
Here let me help you out
Democratic politicians: we want to help all Americans, that includes rural Americans that are struggling economically by helping to bring back manufacturing and addressing their needs for healthcare.
ACTUAL REPUBLICAN POLITICIANS:” the only good democrat is a dead democrat” “democrats are traitors.” “ democrats hate America” “democrats aren’t real Americans”

But sure some anonymous person insulted you on the infamous-interweb-grumble-mommy-site.
Samesies.

Nah this thread was helpful.
Republican women seem motivated by grievances both personal and imagined.
Their legitimate concerns are not improved by voting for republicans, but they don’t seem to be a persuadable voting block. And that’s ok.
There are other constituencies.

Your issue isn’t that Republicans aren’t persuadable, it’s the independents and Democrats being persuaded by Republicans to vote GOP. Condescension like this isn’t helping your cause. Addressing the issues, from immigration to the economy, would.

Right! I'm a conservative 34 year old woman. I can totally understand why liberal women are liberal. I just don't agree that liberal policies work and think some are harmful. I gave examples in earlier comments and was dismissed out of hand and told those things don't matter. Whatever the pundits say, I don't think Democrats are evil or trying to destroy America. I'm married to a Democrat and he's a veteran. But people are constantly calling conservatives evil, bigoted, fascist, etc. I just want to have a good economy, a safe neighborhood, and to be able to raise my family without anyone pushing their agenda on my kids.

Democrats get off on feeling intellectually and morally superior to Republicans. Being pro-Biden and anti-Trump is a source of deep personal satisfaction and moral meaning to many people. Many Democrats feel that they are 100% right in all their opinions and Republicans are 100% wrong. If you point out the actual results of certain failed policies, you are attacking their precious sense of self-righteousness. They will fight you to preserve their illusions before they will consider changing the policies.

For example, in blue Baltimore, High School students are mostly graduating without being able to read. There are no Republicans involved. But Democrats don’t want to address or even consider this failure. It must be Republicans fault somehow, and anyway they’re too busy saving the world from Putin’s puppet Donald Trump.

Yeah no.
Conservatives since Gingrich have maligned and insulted liberals for the better part of the last 40 years.
No one is nastier than the right. They have pulled the political discourse into the gutter and regularly invoked rhetoric this at best offensive and destructive and at worst dragging our country to the brink of violence.
But yeah sorry someone was mean to you on the mommy site I guess.

I didn't say they haven't. I specifically said "whatever the pundits say" because they're loons. I was talking about regular people. Sorry you can't handle having a polite discussion. Thank you for proving my point, though!

Even on this thread asking for help understanding Republican women, the Democrats won't stop insulting us and accusing us of destroying the country. Why would I vote for a party that clearly hates us?

I mean. You guys aren’t lovable.
Like “ oh those conservative rascals can’t help but push policy that is literally endangering the lives of every woman of childbearing years in the nation. They are giving political cover to a movement that seeks to take away birth control. Those scamps!”

Sorry not sorry.

Crime and lenient treatment of repeat offenders, lax immigration policies, and inflation are driving many voters of all ages to vote Republican.
