Help me understand Republican women in their 30s and 40s

Exactly. We disagree with you OP. Shocking to you, I know.

Yep, it's weird when people assume based on superficial differences like gender or race that they automatically know how someone should vote.

So aggressive and snarky. The poster is actually asking what it is about the GOP policies or candidates that you think are helpful to yourselves or your families or your country.

It is really hard to understand why women, particularly any that have actually been through pregnancies and births and all the things that can go sideways with that, can tolerate the govt interference into this critical issue. I really struggle to grasp how those abortion bans are helpful to any woman.

Tell me I'm wrong. Tell me that Republican *policy* isn't geared towards denying women (and only women) reproductive freedom. And it's not just abortion - they're going after contraception as well. And the cherry on top is that they are proposing PUNISHMENT for having an abortion.

And spare me the lecture about immigration being a national security issue - if it was truly that, the GOP I used to know would have shut that shit off years ago. But Republicans don't want to solve the issue; it's too valuable to them as a wedge issue for political advantage. It's all dog whistles, and barely disguised ones at that.

The way I see it, any woman of reproductive age who still votes Republican is just like a Log Cabin Republican - willing to trade their entire identity for absolutely nothing.

Most unmarried women identify as Democrat.

Not sure where the Washington Examiner got its data, but Pew has it closer to 50:50 https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2024/04/09/partisanship-by-gender-sexual-orientation-marital-and-parental-status/

How ‘bout I tell you instead that the holier-than-thou righteousness of the left is extraordinarily unappealing, even to people who pretty much agree with you?

Yuck

Except that Democrats refuse to even define what a women is, so there is that to consider as well.

Is that what decisions on who to vote for to lead a country are based on? Some lefties somewhere are unappealing, so I'll vote for the guy that thinks it's okay to grab women by their privates, took/hid/actively obstructed efforts to retrieve top secret documents, condones insurructionists and skinheads, and for his party that wants to ban abortions entirely, is looking to restrict or ban contraception, wants to gut civil rights acts, remove protections for air/water/soil pollution, etc.?

What does that have to do with removing women's ability to make medical and family planning decisions for themselves?

Are we not all stuck with these abortion bans because of holier than thou righteousness? Talk about unappealing.

Nothing. It's a tired old talk point. Do better GOP posters.
