Did your family members become more vocally racist after Trump?

Sports are a stupid ridiculous waste of time and money and I can't believe you get your panties in a twist about whose genitals are what on a sports field. Find something worth worrying about!

I feel like voting for Obama made them feel like they were giving blacks a chance and proved they were not racist. They were enchanted with the idea this was a nation which allowed a black person, through their own hard work, character, and drive, become the most powerful person in the country. And then were utterly disappointed with his performance once he was elected. And then felt justified for judging blacks who could not pull themselves out of poverty and addiction. Because if Obama could do it, anyone can do it.

Partly, I think they are grappling with their own racism - which maybe they didn't confront or talk about prior to Trump's presidency.

Wait a minute so are you saying that all blacks black people are poor and ignorant you sound as bad as your in-laws plus nobody is mildly racist what kind of dumbass thinking is tha?
you racist or you’re not racist it’s like being a little bit pregnant you got what you asked for.

I agree with OP. They thought voting for Obama for are those above reasons made them ....finally.... cool. They wanted that so bad.

Biological men shouldn't be competing against biological females. Period. In fact, if you want to drum biological females out of sports altogether, making them compete against biological males would be the way to do it.

Mmmkay
What should we do about women who have naturally high testosterone levels? Or Androgen insensitivity? They are XY but have "female" external genitalia. Or any number of Intersex conditions?
Or maybe...just maybe.. sex and gender are complicated and non-binary.

What complete bull

Transwomen have no place in girls or women's sports. Enough is enough. Next time when we have Rachel Dolezal, or a Elizabeth Warren claiming she is Native and we tell them to shut up, we tell the same exact thing to transwoman that wants to compete in women's sports. I am happy to accept anyone as any sex they feel or want to be. Just don't send your 6'5" boy to beat up my dd in volleyball in high school when it is not a coed team. This is simply taking it too far. Most of them do not even go through a full transition. That is some extra crappy BS to prevent my and your daughter from having a fair chance in women's sports. Men have significantly higher testosterone levels, do you know that a college level tennis player can beat Serena Willams? And not that is not just McEnroe talking trash. And not even the best one! They find sparring partners from college players and they travel with them on tour to have a strong hitting partner.
To me it is exactly the same as steroid use, we forbid that as unfair, correct?

Amen. Transies are engaged in gender appropriation.

As for other pp's pointing out African Americans and diaspora Africans in the U.S. they are right. There is a vast difference between their experiences. Imagine being kicked every time you try to get up? For 400 years? That mind set, that poverty is insane. My racist FIL works with African immigrants and likes their "attitude." Yes, he is racist and a Democrat that dislikes Trump. But, thinks and talks alike Trump. I am from Yugoslavia originally and as time passed by he feels comfortable to tell me that my people are butchers, that "we" meaning former Yugoslavs are but like Turks to Americans. Not sure what Turks did to him, but he clearly thinks them not white and primitive. I don't know if it is the political scene or if it is him getting older and saying all the crap he thinks out loud.

African immigrants ARE strivers and doers. They don’t have the same chip on their shoulder as many American A-As. In fact, I’ve heard immigrants criticize the latter’s carping and attitude.

There is selection bias here. Immigrating to the US legally is extraordinarily difficult and expensive. African immigrants come from relative wealth. They also have education. More than American-born citizens. This country has denied both to descendants of enslaved people forever. You may perceive African immigrants as strivers and doers. Because they had the fortitude and means to move to an entirely different culture. That’s the selection bias. Just like with Asians. We lump them all together and think they are hard working and smart. But that generally reflects educated families from China and Korea who had the means to immigrate. Others, with refugee status like Vietnamese and Cambodians, have low education rates and high poverty rates.
