And I'm not reaching. I'm trying to educate you. There are many more biologically Intersex and other biologically gender diverse than trans people. Some estimates are 1% of humans have some intersex traits. |

Honestly, I would expect that this issue would have been worked out for the person long before they were playing competitive sports. It's not like they get to Olympic level competition and suddenly realize that they need to compete as a man or a woman. I also don't think that a person can start off competing as a man and then suddenly decided that they should be competing as a woman after all. I'm sure that this stuff comes up in competitive sports and it's dealt with on an individual level. As you state some cases are less clear cut than others are. |

If you were born with a penis you compete in men's sports. The end. 1% you talk about are not the epidemic we are seeing today. No way should Kaitlyn Jenner compete in any women's competitions. This is plain gaming the system that women fought so hard for in sports. |

You are talking about very rare medical issues that would be best dealt with at the individual athlete level. Trying to make rules that apply in a broad brush sort of way is only going to open the door to gaming the system - not in anyone's best interests. |

Oh, yes, so many people around with reductase deficiency around us. I am a Bernie Sanders kind of liberal, but I stand firm on this. Transwomen have no place in girls or women's sports. Enough is enough. Next time when we have Rachel Dolezal, or a Elizabeth Warren claiming she is Native and we tell them to shut up, we tell the same exact thing to transwoman that wants to compete in women's sports. I am happy to accept anyone as any sex they feel or want to be. Just don't send your 6'5" boy to beat up my dd in volleyball in high school when it is not a coed team. This is simply taking it too far. Most of them do not even go through a full transition. That is some extra crappy BS to prevent my and your daughter from having a fair chance in women's sports. Men have significantly higher testosterone levels, do you know that a college level tennis player can beat Serena Willams? And not that is not just McEnroe talking trash. And not even the best one! They find sparring partners from college players and they travel with them on tour to have a strong hitting partner.
To me it is exactly the same as steroid use, we forbid that as unfair, correct? |

My mom and cousin were talking about the upcoming presidential election. My mom doesn’t particularly care for trump because she views him as immoral. But she said she’d rather have Trump re-elected than have a woman president. And definitely not a black man. “We’ve already seen what a black man would do.”
She’s always been racist, but she used to keep her mouth shut around me. I don’t know if it’s age or the new culture where it’s fine to say racist stuff. Or both. |
