Wow. People are harsh.

First, how nice and lovely this 15 YO sounds. She wants to be involved, it's her family too. Don't sideline her because she's a stepsister.

It's a shame her mom is being petty, but it is what it is. Would it be possible for her father and mom to switch weekends or maybe let her mom have 2 weekends in a row to make up for this request?
