I watched this and have a friend who received an award.

Nothing went on with Leo and Lady Gaga. Nothing. Zilch.

That was a non-event. Lady Gaga brushed up against him and his back was turned, so he didn't know where it was coming from. He was just surprised. No grand conspiracy here.

Supposedly it wasn't and accident. He was laughing loudly that she won so she bumped him on purpose. He apparently had been talking throughout the night that he couldn't believe she was nominated.

It was not bullying. And if he really was making fun of her and she hip checked him, good for her.

It was total bullying on his part. It sounds like he had a bug up his arse that she dared to even get nominated and then when her name was called he proceeded to be a complete a-hole about by "laughing" loudly and when she hip checked him (hey, buddy enough!) he gave that nasty freak out look.

He's a jerk. And I really hope that if Leo is ever nominated again he has to go up against... Justin Bieber or Blake Shelton or some other random dude...and they beat him out. Leo doesn't deserve to win again.

Completely wrong. Did not happen that way. At least get your damn gossip straight.

How did it happen then?

I saw it exactly this way. The people on this thread getting all bent out of shape are weird.

This--a million times over.

There are obviously some people with obvious abnormal psychological fixations on Jennifer Lawrence. If you don't like her, don't watch her interviews or movies. Done and done.

I have not watched a single one of her movies. But I'm in the group that found her rude. It's my pet peeve in the real world too - male or female, I'm equally irked. Kind of strange to be accused of obsession and feminist-bashing.

Congrats to your friend! But how do you know that? Was your friend seated at Leo's or Gaga's table? The look on his face says it all. That was not a typical startled/surprised look on his face. It was a look of revulsion. The audience reaction to her win indicates that she was not exactly a popular pick in that room, maybe for valid reasons. Something was going on.

At any rate, I found the whole thing a lot more drama than anything Jennifer Lawrence did. It's weird how people have jumped all over her.

Humbled?

This is her sixth awards season. She has three Golden Globes and an Oscar. She has two other Oscar nominations. She has two major franchises in addition. She has earned her star status. If Robert Downey did this, everyone would laugh.

YES humbled. She is getting paid an obscene amount of money for the cushy job of acting. Give the poor foreign reporter a break for Pete's sake.

When something extraordinary happens to me it (not often but like recently getting a huge promotion at work) makes me want to be kinder, sweeter and more empathetic to others. She obviously thought she was above the guy and let the room know it. Yuck. Maybe she was trying to pull "an Amy" and be funny but it was not funny, it was obnoxious.

Agreed never been a huge fan either way of hers, but was of Leos. Now I am a bigger fan of hers and think much less of him. How catty he was, major turnoff.

She "obviously" did nothing of the sort. The guy was being rude and instead of just outright ignoring him or calling him out on it, she chose to use a little humor. I suppose she could have acted repulsed by him and rolled her eyes, maybe wrinkled her nose to imply that the guy smelled bad....that would have been a lot more Klassy. Not.

Sounds like you were there, which I highly doubt. NO she did not act in any way with humor. Let it rest already she was an ass by most accounts. End of story. Everyone slips up every now and then.

Were you there? I saw the same video that you did. I disagree that SHE was the ass.

Sigh. Being a dick is not the same as bullying. Look up the definition. Bullying is a repeated action.

Evidently he had been doing this throughout the evening - making it CLEAR that he was not happy that she had been nominated. If someone did that to you repeatedly throughout an evening (making nasty comments, laughing AT you for winning and then giving an eye roll of pure disgust as you walked by...I'll bet you wouldn't appreciate it).

Here I am standing up for Gaga and I can't really stand her! But wrong is wrong Leo.

I find this all very hard to believe. Being surprised or shocked at her being nominated is one thing, but giving a shit to this degree just doesn't add up. In the acting arena, he and Gaga are not even in the same swim lane. There is no plausible reason for him to care that much about it. I think between this and the JLaw incident that spurred this thread my takeaway is that people really love to read into shit too much. Worry about yourselves already!

And the obvious question is then why exactly are YOU here?
