Age is irrelevant to me. If hitler was 100 he should be tried and executed.

My only question (if im playing devils advocate here) is whether every german male of 22 years of age with a degree or to that effect was essentially forced to be an officer. there must have been tons of german officers in WWII.

This should be a German WWII war crimes issue. More than 40 million people perished in WWII. Although tragic and criminal horrific the murders of 5.8 million Jews was no more painful than the deaths 35 million other souls during the war.

It is regrettable that since the term "Holocaust" was created 30 years after the war ended that the suffering of the Jews has come to overshadow the suffering of the world community during the Facsist Era.

Why are the other 5.2 Holocaust victims virtually ignored in this thread? Why has the Rape of Nanking or the wholesale rape of German women old and young in May 1945, been ignored as if they deserved it.

The slaughter of the Jews in WWII by the Germans was awful beyond my ability to articulate the horror, however it is frustrating that so many people have forgotten the full scope and horrors of that war and that the full extend of the suffering of tens of millions of non- Jewish people as well.

Jewish people are also being manipulated by the Holocaust Saga. The Holocaust is a great unifying force in the American Jewish Community. It is portrayed as a uniquely Jewish tragedy, which of course it was not. This man commited crimes against himanity and for this he should be punished.

Ok, it's early AM--but I don't see the article calling her a "woman." I see "girl" mentioned several times.

Also, this may not have made the headlines because she ESCAPED less than 24 hours after her abduction. I don't think I heard about Elizabeth Smart until more than 24 hours after her abduction.

I remember seeing Erica Platt's escape story told on the news. So, it was covered in the media. I don't know why you had to be negative about Elizabeth Smart - grown woman can't escape abduction at all times.

I do agree that white abducted girls get more news coverage than abducted girls of other ethnicities though.

He will be denaturalized, for lying about his war-time activities when he emigrated, then placed in immigration proceedings, then deported. Poland is asking for him. He worked for the Ukrainian ss. But we do not know in what capacity or what ranking. Those units were involved in burning villages etc. Partisans also did that. If the victims were not jewish then this is not a holocaust issue.
The crimes of the partisans have not been brought to justice.

War is hell. Atrocities and crimes against humanity are common. Even innocent German civilians were victims including having their cows and other livestock taken so they would starve to death.

This is not true. The SS participated in killing Jewish civilians and other civilians in many places. The Germans killed a lot of civilians outside of the camps.
