40 seems pretty young for this type of major life disruption. Wish I had the time. Hope you heal quickly and are happy when it’s all done. Good for you for taking care of yourself. |
I'm a stay at home mom with a part time nanny who was able to pick up extra shifts to cover the days I needed to rest. I acknowledge this is a privilege and a nice position to be in. I'm lucky that my husband is happy to help with extra childcare while I recover and does not mind me spending money on things I want. We don't have any debt including mortgage, cars, etc. For some background, I had a rough few years medically with a number of totally unfun surgeries that I have recently finished. I also lost 70 pounds after having and breastfeeding twins so I have more sagging skin than I used to. I have had 4 previous surgeries on my eyes due to genetic eye muscle issues. It's unusual to be 40 years old and have insurance cover an upper bleph, so it's not like I was imagining some problem. My eyelids were literally impairing my vision enough to be covered. As for the brow lift and lower bleph, why not add them if they make me feel better and insurance is already covering anesthesia, operating room, etc? |
I pick mine at the duty-free pharmacy at Delhi Airport. Around 2-3 bucks a tube. |

I’m 46.
Started Botox at 41 and get 3 times a year in forehead, 11’s and crows feet. I use tret every night and have for a decade. Funny I wouldn’t even consider that a treatment
Hydrofacial twice a year. I also got laser hair removal on my underarms and bikini and about to do my legs. Worth every penny. Wouldn’t touch fillers with a ten foot pole and I’m a Pilates instructor so no need for any lipo |
| None. Wore sunscreen, didn't smoke or vape, rarely drink. |

Botox
Laser for rosacea and five lines |

I’m 39 but started Botox and tret at 36, still use both and I love the results.
I’d like to start incorporating some other treatments (lasers? Microneedling?) but I’m not sure where to start. Skin quality is good. I have very strong facial muscles so the botox has been incredible for not developing static lines |
I work in the industry and you’d be surprised at who gets Botox and filler. I have patients from all walks of life, all ages, income levels, gender, etc… |
