There are some outrageous stories/experiences about Invictus which are being communicated to folks on The Hill.

Lol I bet the same people who hate Harry and Meghan are in the other thread talking about how great Sound of Freedom was.

Yes, it's kind of amazing to see the tide turning on DCUM. People here used to be so brainwashed about these two.

I still don’t understand how you can demand privacy at such an extreme level and yet desire to get paid based upon your celebrity/name recognition alone. Neither of them has any particular entertainment knowledge skills. Meghan has repeatedly said she won’t act again.

So none of it makes sense.

And I don’t think they will split. She’ll never leave the US and he’ll never leave the kids behind.

No, we're not. I check in once in a while on DCUM and today have only posted on this thread. I'm sorry your projections didn't work out.

You can hate Meghan’s outfits, you can roll your eyes at her terrible acting, but spreading rumors about her faking pregnancies and hiring stand-ins to attend a 4th of July parade is a little too far? I know it’s hard to see where the line may be when you’re so filled with rage.

Wishful thinking. You should mind your own marriage instead of wishing other people ill.

DP, but this is the classic deflection of the abuser. This is exactly what my narc cousin said when people warned her that sh-tshow of a marriage (with another narc) was on the rocks. She thought we were wishing her ill. Turned out she had been gossiping about all our marriages and stealing stuff from people all along. She viewed any advice, even helpful criticism, as an attack because that was how she behaved. For you to say this, I have to wonder about you and your private ways of behaving.

PP made an assessment of two public figures who thrive off of attention and want everyone's attention on them. Who want attention so much that they'll go on a "Worldwide Privacy Tour" to get it. You can't seek the public's attention and then get mad when the public make critical assessments about you. Doesn't work that way, sweetheart.

+1 Some of these Meghan stans act like they're obsessed. I escaped a cult several years ago and they behave exactly like flying monkeys defending a cult leader.

I think divorce is inevitable once their money runs out. Nobody in Hollywood wants to work with them anymore. Harry's creepy attempt to use American veterans for money isn't working. Daddy Charles won't fund them. Their money is going to run out. What do narcissists do when the pillow under their feet gets taken away? They turn on each other, often viciously.

Is this about the rumors of Meghan’s expensive wardrobe? I searched around and couldn’t find anything. And what does the US government have to do with a UK based charity with one board member based in the US?

I think Prince Harry looked at Meghan Markle and saw a meal ticket. She may have seen him the same way. But Harry needed a wife with street smarts and hustle, because he had neither and his dad told him that there wasn't enough money to support his future family.

Meghan, on the other hand, was a struggling actress in her mid-30s with ONE role that was going to end soon. She needed security.

These two find each other, think they're Bonnie & Clyde, and then get one rude wake-up call after another.

I marked them for what they are years ago. The only thing I'll admit is that it's impressive they've maintained their grift for this long.

He should have just married a new money British heiress whose family was looking to elevate status.

I never understood why he would marry this super ambitious B-list actress when he wanted to step out of the limelight. She clearly married him so she could get name recognition (most people didn't watch Suits and had no idea who she was until she started dating him), and if he was smart, he should've been able to figure out that she wanted more publicity, not less. They may love each other, but the celebrity lifestyle issue was a major mismatch.

Thank you for this. I almost fell for that other poster's deflection.

If the PP is talking about Meghan stealing $500k from Invictus for her wardrobe, that’s been proven false.

If either of them really wanted quiet they would live in South Dakota or idaho..... Wouldn't plant themselves firmly in the Hollywood hills.

Or, like, gotten a job right from the get-go and married for love instead of clout/hustle.

There were many solutions to get away from his meanie, narcissistic family (I'm making fun of Harry's whining, but I also actually do acknowledge that the BRF is toxic):

- while living in his FREE 2-bedroom bachelor cottage on prime real estate in central London, he could've gotten a job and begun socking away money. Private military contractor, lifestyle consultant, sports coach at ritzy London prep school, whatever. He's dumb AF but he has a few marketable skills.

- marry someone who actually has her mental health together and knows how to actually put self-help practices to work - not someone who markets herself using the lingo of the self-help industry like a spiritual fraud. This type of woman, had Harry married her, would not have sought out the limelight in the first place, and probably would've pulled him into a genuine retirement from public life.

- We wouldn't have heard of his blue todger, his fetish for his mom/Elizabeth Arden cream, how very circumcised his brother is, or any other antics. (Do people realize he's having a public mental breakdown?) He would've actually escaped a toxic family dynamic and lived in upper-middle-class comfort in a quiet, private way.

But he really wanted Hollywood, because he really does like the limelight. He really does like having clout and chasing clout. And now we have him sulking in Montecito, pretending to take the back seat willingly instead of admitting Hollywood isn't into him (would he have taken a back seat if his Vladimir Putin podcast idea had been accepted?), sleeping in hotels because his precious wife has been abandoning him since that memoir came out.
