Unsurprising to anyone who actually watched it, but Netflix must be disappointed.

They were not surprised either.

Must be embarrassing for Markle, that she can't out-do her twice Emmy-winner dad.

Are they still estranged?

Probably. If I were her dad, I wouldn't talk to her. He paid for her to attend Northwestern under the agreement that she would pay him back later once she was financially settled. Markle turns that into complaining about how her dad kept asking her for money when she was working on "Suits". She's like an endless bottom hole of vampirism and deceptive half-truths.

What dad makes their child pay back their college tuition?

She wasn't a child, she was in her 30s. And my ex-boyfriend paid back his (land-rich, Southern plantation owner) parents after graduating from an expensive Southern school that he wanted to attend instead of the local state university.

NP. Wow. Your ex-boyfriend had a douche father and you think that is admirable. I am not rich and I will never ask my DC to pay me back for his college. You do you PP and I guess you can have your kid sign a contract to pay you back for their college tuition and housing. Do they have to pay interest as well?

Thing is, I assumed the bridesmaid was a grown-ass woman. That would still be bad - making your adult bridesmaid feel bad about her dress doesn't really reflect well on you. But it's also normal dysfunctional behavior, so I'd just roll my eyes and forget about it. I had no interest in watching their wedding footage.

Then, after all this fresh garbage came out - Harry's memoir, the South Park episode, etc - I revisited that wedding story.

The bridesmaid Meghan Markle tried to bully was a TODDLER. I was stunned. I had no idea it was some tiny little child princess.

Oh hell no. NO. That is appalling. I have no idea how Kate Middleton must have felt. If that was my daughter, and then you put out the whole drama for the media to dissect, and then my daughter has to risk wearing an ill-tailored dress to the mostly publicized wedding of the year, I would TEAR MEGHAN APART.

You don’t sound OK.

She was 18 when she entered college, not in her 30’s. She was there from 1999-2003, easily Googled. She was born in 1981.

A dad who couldn’t afford it but borrowed from his home equity or retirement because her heart was set on attending a high-priced school?

That’s on him. He should have been the adult and set boundaries. She was a teenager. How many posts are there on DCUM everyday telling parents to not spend their retirement money to pay for college. He could have insisted she attended one of those great California public universities. He was a damn fool if he mortgaged his house and retirement. No sympathy. A good parent doesn’t blame their stupidity on their teenage children.

Harry should be condemned for using OUR wounded servicemembers as a prop for his own image building. "Oh, look at wonderful Harry spending time with those poor, brave amputees!" And funneling corporate money into his private charity, which of course doesn't have any U.S. oversight since it's foreign.

The word is out about him among the US military community and they are no longer buying what he's selling. The US had its own official Defense Dept. sponsored Warrior Games long before the Prince showed up.

Anyone actually involved in the Wounded Warrior community knows that Harry was inspired by the Warrior Games and wanted to find a way to give veterans worldwide a similar outlet. Hate to break it to you, but the Olympics also has corporate sponsors. I don't even know why I'm bothering here.

Anyone actually involved in the wounded warrior community with critical thinking skills has always asked, "We have our own US based, DoD-sponsored Warrior Games. Why do we need another one, sponsored by the Prince, no less? Why should sponsorship money go to HIS charity rather than long-established US based veterans charities WITH oversight?"

And anyone who actually does not agree with the Prince's exploitation of wounded servicemembers should be asking the same questions, not defending him.

So, the thing is, there are people outside the US who don’t have the same opportunities, as the DoD only funds the program for US veterans. If the charity was so questionable, why did his brother donate $1M to it fairly recently?

Stop trying to obfuscate. The fact remains that the vast majority of disabled veterans are Americans. DoD had the Warrior Games for years before Harry came up with his "bright idea" of Invictus. You obviously have no connection to the US military community or you would know this.

So are you saying that only US military disabled military should be acknowledged? The Warrior Games are for US soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines only. And you think that’s okay.

Good for him though I’m really fascinated by the unhinged Megan haters. I really wonder what type of weirdo falls into this category. Basement dwelling racist dude, old cat lady with collection of BRF souvenirs who’s just learned how to use the Internet, paid troll, or something else.

Dude, I come in here to read (mostly without posting) out of sheer amazement. There are truly a lot of crazy folks on this board…..and M&H threads seem to be their watering hole.

Seriously crazy shit, I have to say.

Yes, it's a little frightening that people have the time and energy to actually hate people they don't know and will even search out nutter conspiracy theories!

Absolutely. It really is concerning. TBH, I am not the least bit surprised that M&H try to keep their kids out of the public eye. I honestly can’t imagine worrying about all of these lunatics hiding behind their bushes and whatnot.

I wish they’d try to keep more than their kids out of the públic eye! I could do without them completely. Can we just skip all their projects, the headlines, the fake awards??? Most people don’t want to see these cretins!!!!

She clearly married him so she could get name recognition (most people didn't watch Suits and had no idea who she was until she started dating him), and if he was smart, he should've been able to figure out that she wanted more publicity, not less. They may love each other, but the celebrity lifestyle issue was a major mismatch.

She was super hot when they met.

She still is.

Ehh.. she’s still pretty, but it’s not the same..

Then:

You can’t seriously expect her to show up to events with her boobs falling out. She’s a member of a royal family now.

More like she’s in her forties and a mother and no longer twenty-something.

He's literally not even a warrior. Little dude went on half a tour or something, couldn't make Apache pilot because he failed the test so instead he was a gunner. And he was surrounded by bodyguards while he was shooting stray Afghan peasants from a helicopter.

Then he went back to base to play video games.

Then he decides to callously describe his kills in his memoir as "chess pieces" he didn't care about, AND share the kill count.

DH is ex-military. Two of my cousins are ex-military. None of them have ever told me their kill count and I wouldn't ask. They are respectful, discreet people. Total disgrace for Harry to try and promote himself with his fake Games and now invading U.S. military events.

Wishful thinking. You should mind your own marriage instead of wishing other people ill.

DP, but this is the classic deflection of the abuser. This is exactly what my narc cousin said when people warned her that sh-tshow of a marriage (with another narc) was on the rocks. She thought we were wishing her ill. Turned out she had been gossiping about all our marriages and stealing stuff from people all along. She viewed any advice, even helpful criticism, as an attack because that was how she behaved. For you to say this, I have to wonder about you and your private ways of behaving.

PP made an assessment of two public figures who thrive off of attention and want everyone's attention on them. Who want attention so much that they'll go on a "Worldwide Privacy Tour" to get it. You can't seek the public's attention and then get mad when the public make critical assessments about you. Doesn't work that way, sweetheart.

+1 Some of these Meghan stans act like they're obsessed. I escaped a cult several years ago and they behave exactly like flying monkeys defending a cult leader.

I think divorce is inevitable once their money runs out. Nobody in Hollywood wants to work with them anymore. Harry's creepy attempt to use American veterans for money isn't working. Daddy Charles won't fund them. Their money is going to run out. What do narcissists do when the pillow under their feet gets taken away? They turn on each other, often viciously.

All of this.

Divorce is inevitable for 50% of married couples, maybe even yours.

But every time I see an unverified outlandish claim here (most recently that accusation about stealing from veterans), it pushes me further to their side. Why make up lies? Isn’t it enough that they’re just ordinary obnoxious people?

These threads could be fun if we kept it surface level like with most other celebrity gossip posts, but the same tired tropes come out page after page.

This! I'm in no way shape or form a fan but the bonkers haters make me more sympathetic.

Ok, get hit with the karma along with her.

You are responsible for your choices. You side with abuse, you get hit with the karma that they've got coming to them. Bye!

What the holy hell. You are the perfect example of unhinged PP. bonkers.

Your projection and ill will is so cute, trying it on a witch like me. =)

Do you think I can't magically find you, since you don't have a name on an anonymous board? I can. Have it back, hunty. Have it right back. I sent it back to you thousandfold.

=)

Or rather, kid. Wouldn't be surprised if it's one person losing their grip and resorting to ableist slurs.

Was going to say almost exactly this. They're kind of...proving everyone's point.
