I grew up there…it’s long been where all the celebrity/would be celebrities go when they want to pretend like they’re seeking a break from the spotlight but are actually still craving attention…decades before anyone had ever heard of Megan Markle

Ha! I was coming to say the same thing. Montecito is absolutely an extension of the LA vibe, a place where celebs go to act like they don’t want to be “in Hollywood” while actually still wanting to be in Hollywood.

PP made an assessment of two public figures who thrive off of attention and want everyone's attention on them. Who want attention so much that they'll go on a "Worldwide Privacy Tour" to get it. Meghan Markle has spoken in public once this year (the NYC award thing) but her detractors act like she’s given Oprah interviews weekly since she left London.

Just last week she did an incredibly normal thing (taking her kids to a local 4th of July parade) and even that was picked apart (a PP here says it was a Meghan Markle stand-in?). The Markle haters are getting more desperate and sounding more like conspiracy theorists than casual celebrity gossipers.

I agree, that’s not hating. But there are many other things said about Meghan that are not ok and are definitely hating.

Harry joined part of a youth leadership conference in the past couple of weeks and he looked very much in his element. He also has stayed involved in veterans causes and the Invictus Games. Meghan’s Hollywood side isn’t keeping him from the things he likes.
