So much misinformation … and I’m only on the first page |
The Cleveland Park Smart Growth bullies are now trying to get rid of Rosedale? Got your eyes on it for more high rises? Too much green space for you? |
We live in Cleveland Park. We became members of Rosedale to support the conservancy. We applied to bring our dog there and we got in because there was space. Not complicated. |
No matter how tall your tin-foil hat is, it wouldn't be possible given the landmark on the property, as well as the underlying zoning. Just stop with the nonsense. |
How is this different from neighborhood pools all over the DMV or the Cleveland Park Club which often has a long waitlist? |
Wait, the Cleveland Park Smart Growth people are bullies now? More than the Cleveland Park Hysterical Society people? This is great! Finally a big dog in the 'hood to push back. Now, ANC 3C needs only make it clear that if an applicant presents to CPHS's ARC, they are precluded from ANC 3C support. |
Keith Mantel a real estate agent running for ANC backed by Cleveland Park Smart Growth. |
. You are making assumptions with no basis. |
Dog park at Guy Mason too near Wisconsin. |
Why don’t we dedicate one of the Connecticut Avenue bike lanes to a dog run where our canine friends can frolic off leash to their hearts content from Chevy Chase to Woodley Park. Then Medium Rare could carve out more space on the sidewalk so our pups can top off their fun with dinner Al fresco. Seriously, why not an outdoor cafe or beer garden on Connecticut Ave where we can bring our dogs for some Canine Connection. |
Do you even live in this neighborhood, SS? Ward 3’s homeless shelter is just a few blocks from Rosedale. There are apartment buildings up and down Wisconsin Avenue a block or so from Rosedale although more and more buildings throughout this city are being developed into luxury apartment buildings displacing long time renters or into section 8 housing that will become luxury apartments when the section 8 experiment in each building flops |
He was neither recruited nor is funded by Cleveland Park Smart Growth, so be careful with assertions. They endorsed him after he answered their candidate questionnaire to their liking. Keith's opponent - Rick of CP Historic Society and his many failed lawsuits - did not earn CPSG's support. |
| When the ANC redistricting Task Force cut up historic Cleveland Park to reduce single family homeowners’ input on matters on Connecticut Avenue, people advocating for the gerrymandering said repeatedly on this board and elsewhere that single family homeowners blocks from Connecticut Avenue should butt out and focus on their own part of the “neighborhood,” as if Cleveland Park wasn’t one neighborhood. Guess that argument doesn’t apply here to the same divisive GGW/CP Smartgrowthers, trying to ram through their man Keith by whining about imagined exclusions for apartment dwellers on Connecticut Ave, the other side of the neighborhood. These same apartment dwellers currently hold 8 out of 9 ANC seats in Cleveland Park. Can’t exactly say they’re underrepresented. |
8 of 9 are apartment dwellers? That will be news to a few of them, including Commissioner Dyer, Commissioner Hoyt, Commissioner Pagats, and Commissioner Siddiqui. Also, please provide some links to people telling homeowners to butt out. Odds are you cannot because it didn't happen. |
DP but are you confirming this bizarre attack on Rosedale is part of political hit job related to an ANC election and that your group is a part of and endorses that? Crazy that you seem to freely admit it and it’s honestly really sad. Seriously grow up. |
