+1. This made me laugh PP. |

Poor Cristin cole. She has more leverage to oust him than he does on her.
Wonder if she drank the potion. Or will just roll the dice in that one… |
(not having watched the show yet) Did the clothes/ weapons/ customs change much in those 150-200 years? |
Definitely conflicted the whole time. Plus she still looks 12 yo. And he can now be beheaded anytime. |
| Too bad Cristen is not her brother, then it would be standard protocol |
|
She totally used Criston her guard. She was acting childish and drunk, he should have just walked out and said we need to talk with the king if your got hurt or something bad happened.
Now it’s a sperm race coverup orchestrated by her. |
I think he has a crush on her, so he found it was difficult for him to walk away. |
It’s not a “sperm race” - Daemon didn’t deposit any. |
No! And it bugs me to no end. |
| Love the tea doctors wide eyes at the end, unwanted consequences (cue big eyes). |
It was the sexual assault episode. King rapes Alicent, Daemon groomes/tries to rape Rahaenyra, Rahaenyra rapes Ser Criston. Hope we can return to fantasy Succession. |
This story line has legs, if you read the book. The entire plot line is that he wants her, but he is powerless to be with her openly. So it’s an ongoing unequal power dynamic that ends up getting a lot worse for Ser Cristen. |
I don’t think the King raped Alicent. We’ve all had “I’m tired, please hurry up” sex before. |
I think hbo is doing something slightly different. He’s going to hear the rumors in the castle of her brothel trust with her uncle, put 2+2 together and know she’s bad news. Not love. This will make it clearer to turn on her, as in the books. Let’s face it, if you sleep with your boss, one or both of you needs to get a new job asap. Sure he might offer her to run away with him, I hope he doesn’t. I hope he’s smarter and knows she’s volatile and good at playing political games. And she’s in a losing one. |
