Private School Lacrosse Thread

But the new coaches at Prep, St Albans and SSSA also had excellent rookie years.

Wish schools like GC and Dematha would think about injecting new coaches, with different thinking and heightened energy, into their once dominant heralded programs.
was gc ever good? Seriously wondering, not being derogatory

And how you measuring success at Prep? How many quality wins other than a squeaker at Gilman that Prep should have lost?

Prep was bad this year.

What I witnessed tonight in the final 4 minutes of a lopsided contest against the Hoyas further proves the school has very little morals or ethics when it comes to athletic play.

I hope Landon beats the snot out of you, and I hardly ever root for Landon in anything.

Prep you must be joking. Your FO guy took a cheap shot at the bullis FO kid then Bullis scored a goal and Prep was penalized for a late hit and a Bullis player stood up for his teammate and was assessed a penalty. Then the Bullis coach was assessed a penalty for complaining about the officials not calling fouls in a game that was not in doubt. Go back under the rock of Prep past. Prep is angry that they do not measure up as they use to. Don't blame Bullis for your players taking cheap shots at Bullis players. Don't take my word for it, watch the film of the game.

Neutral reaction: this description, written by a pro-Bullis person, makes it sound like the Bullis behavior was bad. Mentally, I would translate "a Bullis kid stood up for his teammate" as "a Bullis player committed an egregious foul." (was it a dead ball situation?). And given how many coaches in this area ride the officials, for the Bullis Coach to draw a penalty it must have been really bad. There are two sides to every story, so maybe Prep was equally at fault, but this telling of Bullis's side doesn't sound all that good.

St Albans was much improved and SSSA has been playing well. St Johns finished strong with wins over Paul VI and Gonzaga. All 3 of these coaches have bright futures and their teams are on an upswing.
GC and DeMatha have very good coaches but have not performed very well over the past few years.
O'Connell also has a new coach and they are much improved. Exciting times for DMV lacrosse

Exciting times especially if Landon finishes top team in US

Landon has cemented themselves as a top 5 team in the nation this year regardless of the outcome on Friday. . They have a very impressive resume of W's when you look at their schedule.

Expect an awesome game, get there early!

Keys to the game? For each team Landon bullis

No favorites here but I love the venom and psycho banter on the private school lacrosse thread. Kinda like that Bullis is doing well since it's always been dissed in the IAC. I don't think GC has ever been good in lacrosse but it's great in woman's lax along with other sports. Dematha is good at everything and is periodically good at lax.

Dematha has over. 10000 boys and low academic standards compared to most schools discussed on this thread, they should be very good in all sports based on sheer numbers.

Yes. You couldn't avoid trying to invent a race issue.
(Not the OP, just tired of the noisy snowflakes)

Why is this thread even allowed here? Aren't there other places for lax dads to argue with each other?

If you want to see some snowflakes, watch the Mater Dei 16 yo get schooled in BB by the 14 yo St. Jerome's boys (their B team). it the best part of the BB tourney at Prep every year.

Your comments are racist. The population is majority black and you can't imagine that their academics are equal to Prep and Gonzaga.... they are.

I sit in the stands with you, I am your friend, I am your neighbor, and I cringe at your comments at these boys when we sit in the stands together. I tell you your racist to your face. You laugh it off you call me liberal, you call me a snowflake, We all call you pathetic.
