Too cold for salt anyway. JUST CALL IT DAMMIT!!! Some of us would like to be able to let our back-up babysitters know the plan before they head to bed. |
I wonder? Our street was plowed three times, but no salt. Now frozen over again. Terrible conditions. |
No way! DC teacher here, we will be I school, for sure. |
I really don't think so... how will anyone get there? Only 10 Metrobus lines are running in the District. |
Maryland is using a new type of chemical tonight that is supposed to work at colder temps than the salt does. Not sure that is a good choice for the rivers and Bay. |
^^agree. the buses aren't running and cannot get down streets. How will students get to school? If DCPS doesn't call it then there will be huge back lash from people who depend on public education. |
*transportation. |
Do people really ride the bus to school? |
No way will they be open. DC makes kids get to school on their own with public transport and gives them free bus rides--yet most buses aren't working tomorrow. I bet Feds are closed too. |
DCPS is usually contrary so who knows, though calls for the most part this year have been good. I think closed would be good, ready for a productive start on Wednesday. |
It's just annoying that they won't make a decision. |
Fu-k the rivers and Bay! Clear the streets and get the kids to school! Pollution be dam-ed |
Yes. |
Yes, DC has dedicated bus routes that run through neighborhoods to the IB middle schools and high schools, and to the specialty high school. Many many kids ride these buses. |
DC Teacher here. I ride the bus to school, and it's a bus will not be running tomorrow. |
