LN here. Is this the same poster? Because John Francis also only had 59 people on the waitlist for 6th grade this year. I didn't realize that many people were doing post lottery waitlists.

In any case, you have no chance here, they never go that deep into a waitlist.

Assuming that there really were 25 more people post-lottery added to the Two Rivers waitlist - they never let that many people off the waitlist.

If you're looking for schools that tend to clear their waitlists, I'd look at Wells, Jefferson, McFarland, and Sojourner Truth. I think they all usually clear their waitlists, or at least come close.

Got it - so helpful, thank you so much for taking your time. We are actually in boundary for Wells and could get into Macfarland but I haven’t heard good things about these schools.

We matched at our in-boundary but hoping for MV Calle Ocho where we are #37 on the waiting list for PK3.

Any chance? I had my hopes up but seems like this year will be tougher than the previous ones based on what I see here..?

We are way too far on all the other waiting lists we’re on. Thank you so much!

Did you add some of these post-lottery? The WL numbers for some schools are otherwise higher than possible.

Wow I'm amazed that your ITDS number is the lowest.

You’re very likely to get in. They are typically under enrolled

The others could be post lottery additions.

LN here. Sorry for the delay, got busy.

I would assume almost always, once the first kid gets in, they'll pull in the second one. Unfortunately, your kid's lottery numbers must have been pretty similar - Hearst, for example, has a waitlist of 100 kids, so both your kids are right around the middle. You'd be better off if one of them had a better number, even if the second had a really crappy one.

Hearst #40 #55 - You've got a chance here. Of the past five years, twice they've gone that deep into the waitlist. So, 40% chance. Would likely be in August or September if you did get a slot.
Ross #39 #54 - No offer.
Janney #45 #63 - You have a chance here as well. Of the past five years, twice they have gone that deep into the waitlist. So, 40% chance.
Murch #43 #53 - No offer.
Marie Reed #25 #29 - No offer.

LN here.

Sorry, you're not going to get an offer. They went that deep last year, but they were in a swing space, and as I understand it, are now back in their newly renovated space. That generally drives demand up, not down, and you wouldn't have gotten in any other year.

Editorializing: IB for PK is lovely. Walk to school! Meet your neighbors!
