that is strange. If you're not allergic, nuts are a great snack. Yes they have fat in them, but they still have nutritional value....better than potato chips! I tell my DCs which foods are fattening and which ones are not...and that moderation, not deprivation will keep them at a good weight. Plus I would prefer to reason with facts instead of trying to trick them!

I find funerals to be a bit more personal. I would feel like an intruder at a funeral for a person I don't know, (unless I am extremely close to one of the family members.)

That's a good idea, and I will ask. Although I just learned 2 of my co-workers who have been here 10 years are not going. I feel slightly less weird about the whole thing if I'm not the only one not going. But if there's an early viewing, then I could totally make that. Although, I would be viewing someone I don't know...I don't know which is more weird.

Oh yeah...EVERYONE is telling me to go see it! But man, I never have time to go to the movies : (
I just watched Grand Turino, and it was really, really good. I was intrigued the whole time.
Can't reschedule...it's the gym schedule, and everyone comes on their lunch break.
no he's a nice guy. I am giving a donation to a Kidney Foundation to his family. I guess I will try like hell to find a sub, and if I can't, I'll go teach. I hate decisions like these!
I am scared to offend my FT boss, but also scared to piss of my Zumba boss with another cancellation.
I have a class tomorrow that I missed for a week, due to illness. My boss's father died over the weekend, and the funeral is tomorrow, the same time as my class. I am trying to find someone to cover my class, but it is nearly impossible to find someone at that hour. Boss said we are not obligated to go to the funeral, but I still feel obligated...even though I never met the man. Should I cancel my class again? Does it look bad if I don't go to the funeral?
I third the glass of red wine! It makes my toes tingle and makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I will also try the Vitamin D!
I have a huge list of workout songs, mostly Latin stuff, but some hip hop/pop too: http://zumbadistrict.com/page6.html
yes I think it's rude, but I'm not sure how to undo their electronic habits. Maybe when they come over, you can say in a fun voice, ok...electronic break, let's play a game...or introduce some activity that requires their full attention. I don't know if it will work on teenagers though. I think you'd have to get your brother onboard with you first.

I def. don't allow cell phones/gameboys/etc. at the dinner table...that is super rude. Dinner time is family time.
I'm working on a painting, pre-spring cleaning the closets, with hopes to ebay out-grown clothes taking up space in the closets, preparing for a yoga and belly workout certification. And trying to choreograph something to Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack.

But I am looking forward to the snow this week, I want a snow day to do all these things!
I hear great things about Tranquil Space, and know a reall good teacher who works there. They also have a branch in Clarendon now.
You guys are a trip. This thread has me LMAO!
I think the same way you do, OP. But at my previous job, I noticed men would always come straight to the office from the airport. In my mind, I would think, man, why don't they go home first! Then I was sent on a business trip, flew home at noon, and the office wanted me in right away.
