For commercial purposes, I buy photography from anywhere between $200-$400 per photo, and have paid photographers $2000 per assignment. I wouldn't spend this much to photo my family, but photographers are artists running a business. Some will be in higher demand, have different styles/techniques, so there will be a range in price as well. It all depends on what you want.

If they are mean and cliquey, why do you want to be friends with them? It may cause even more anxiety to hang out with such superficial types. I would just smile and keep focused on DC around those types.

A mom from my DCs school organized a mom's night out for all the moms in DC's class. Maybe you could organize something...and the moms who come will probably be the ones more open to building a friendship with you. There has to be at least one non-cliquey mom, I hope!
oh I have this dream all the time. I'd buy a house, and replace my shabby sofa. I'd buy a dance studio and start up programs for underprivileged kids or moms. And, I'd renovate my family's hometown in the Philippines.
I was only concerned because I read about a warning issued to college students to be cautious or not to go to Mexico for SB. Didn't mean to offend, I was just concerned. Perhaps I am misinformed, but my concern is not ridiculous. Be safe, have fun, OP.
OP was probably not aware that a direct question would be offensive. Many foreigners, including my family, unknowingly do that all the time. Americans do it too.

OP to question conventional medical practice here is considered offensive. My husband deals with this a lot and I get crazy looks when people see marks on my back from ventosis, a cupping therapy used in acupuncture. My husband's foreign clients always remark that they miss that, whether they are from Egypt, China, Germany or Colombia.
Pancit (like Lo Mein), fresh Lumpia (Filipino style egg rolls), and fried plantains. mmmm. And rice mixed with cilantro-tomato-onion salad.
curious OP, do they use ventosis in Brazil?

I'm not knocking on anyway.
It was just a innocent, maybe naive question.

Thanks to all for your opinion, I'm so out of this crazy website.

Good Bye!

I know it was an innocent question, it's just misunderstood here. Tylenol and Motrin are the norm here, but not so much where my family is from and many other countries.

Yes, it is extremely hard for me to meet up with my friends. My schedule is so packed that when I get any free time, I just want to be lazy at home. Sadly, the only place I see them is on FB. Something I need to fix!
There's Ann Taylor Loft, DSW, a couple high end boutiques, ULTA (cosmetic store), Borders, Whole Foods, Pier 1, a golf store, and tons of great places to eat. There's City Mall, but nothing high end in there. I have not seen L&T or Nordstroms.
oops, I meant, "The only place..."
The only I notice it is in Starbucks.
Ok, sorry. I was just being cautious and scared from what I read in the news. My apologies.
I eat less. The economy is good for your figure...haha! Seriously though, I buy less food and make things stretch. I hang up clothes instead of using the dryer. I take shorter showers. I don't go shopping unless I absolutely have to. I also got rid of cable and took on 3 more teaching jobs.
