Is it crazy to do this at such a young age? She’s not feeling good about her appearance and could use a confidence boost. |
Yes, even if two years ago I would have made a different decision. |
Yes. I just let my 10 year old shave her legs. It bothered her and in the big scheme of things it’s not a big deal.
As long as she’s not superficially hyper focused on her looks in a bad way, I see nothing wrong with little beauty perks to boost confidence. |
Absolutely. My DD has been experimenting with her hair since she was 12. Why not? |
It’s ugly but yeah I would let her. |
My mom let me do it and it made for some hilarious cringey middle school pics. I wanted to look like Kelly Clarkson! |
Yes. As long as everything else in her world is relatively normal. In other words, this is a special (expensive) treat she should earn with good behavior. |
No, I wouldn’t. |
1. It’s really expensive. 2. Most kids I see with highlights have really bad ones. |
Agree with this. And she’s a bit too young imo. |
Yes I would let my 13 yr old DD do whatever she likes with her hair if it improves her self confidence. And I'd pay for a good hair dresser to do the work. |
In a salon, no. They are overpriced. At home, yes. |
Yes, and in a salon the first time. After that, at home. |
I would. |
I took my 13 year old in and the stylist talked me into doing a balayage instead. It's so pretty but I was in shock at how grown-up she looked and how much it cost. I don't color my hair and was kind of clueless to the cost. So, this won't be happening again anytime soon, but it does look really pretty. |
