| I was just told that McLean will be formatting a partnership with a few local clubs to create a pipeline to ECNL. The addition of Arlington ECNL must have spooked them. |
| Every ECNL club should be doing this. VDA has successful partnerships with PWSI and VSA. BRYC and McLean didn't bother before and BRYC is hurting for talent. McLean lost their natural geographical feeders w/ Arlington now in ECNL. Loudoun no longer is sending their talent to FCV. Hopefully, this is the start of consolidation of talent. |
|
Well Bryc should do the same before the boys teams are officially in nice terms relegated out of the ecnl..
What an embarrassment. Those clowns running the show are total rubbish . |
| BRYC should have done this a long time ago with BAC, SYC and LMVSC |
These partnerships only help the top team. It hurts the club that they leave and makes the teams at the other clubs much weaker. |
Total rubbish I tell ya. Incompetent disgraceful bunch of wankers Its a pity |
It depends how they are set up, named, marketed and managed. VDA's partnership was probably a good thing for VSA for example - and would have been for CYA had they not shot themselves in the foot. VDA was really PWSI - but they chose to use a new name for the DA club, shared costs and revenue, allowed for joint management, split practices between locations and the coaches could be drawn from all member clubs. If it's just a "give us your kids and c ya later" arrangement then I agree. |
| Which clubs would McLean want to deal with? VYS would be the obvious choice. |
Arlington, Loudoun and BRYC? |
Yep regulation has them scared... |
GFR is one. |
Isn’t GFR part of Metro United? |
| I am just happy my kid will be done with all this in a few more years. |
We are happy too. |
| McLean has always used feeders such as Herndon and MSI to get girls for ECNL as Nadir coaches travel teams there. This isn’t news. |
