You will have a nice little nest egg after you retire from your entirely mediocre career. You can always look back, though, and tell your grandkids how you singlehandedly figured out how to buy low in a recession, do nothing, and enjoy the real estate boom. They will beam with pride, and when you tell them how you could walk anywhere, howl with delight. And the metro? Simply overwhelming.
