Completely agree. She’s perfect. I don’t know that she’s made one misstep as his wife.

Yep. She knows her place.

Yes -- she knows her place in history! On the throne as future Queen of Great Britain and the Commonwealth. Yes, we love the Duchess of Cambridge. She was extremely close to Prince Philip and is taking cues from his extraordinary life for her future role as consort.

I hope you are British or at least from the Commonwealth countries. If not, the level of enthusiasm you have for a monarchy that has nothing to do with you - and if you are American, your forefathers bled and died to be free from - is supremely creepy.

Oh, sorry to disappoint. Did I trigger you?

Who wouldn't want to emulate Prince Philip's life of service? He was a beloved leader -- kind, funny and respected for being a good human being. He was a legitimate WWII hero who saved his crew and ship from destruction. He was patron of nearly 1000 charities in his lifetime. His Duke of Edinburgh Awards -- which he spearheaded and promoted -- have seen over 8 million young people worldwide set goals to challenge themselves and accomplish their goals.

Who wouldn't wait to leave such a legacy when they die?

You know Charles' Prince Trust blows the Duke of Edinburgh Awards out of the water right? In terms of accomplishments, number of individuals helped, and direct receivables.

okay wait.. are you setting up a living son against dead father now?

Disagree. I’ve seen other pictures and she looks just as thin.

From reputable sources?

DP. Here are the original pictures on Getty Images. She's just as thin in the original shots. And the photographer is the husband of Kate's personal dresser so he has no bias.

Getty? wow.. game changer...

Getty is literally the source for all major newspapers worldwide to run their media content from. If you don't know something - just say it.

hahaha.. NO you took my comment the wrong way. I know perfectly well what Getty is and this is why I said.. game changer.
Because as I was reading through the thread the comments accusing the photos being doctored and so on..
the moment I saw Getty trademark and the author and clicked to check it is on their website
I said "game changer"

because just deflated the arguments of those who tried to trash the source.

No one was attacking the source.

Are you ok?

She's made plenty of missteps early on, but they were innocuous. No weight in the skirt, working too little, that sort of thing, but you never had to worry about her doing something hurt the Crown. She really understands her job and she embraces it wholeheartedly. If she has private disagreements with her role, we'll never know.

I mean hell will freeze over before Kate goes to Oprah, know what I'm saying?

Kate comes from a background that prepared her for this type of life.

She does not. She was upper middle class. Her parents owned a party supply business and had modest beginnings- her mother was an airline attendant. She was certainly not an aristocrat like Diana. However she is complete grace- never a hair out of place, always behaves in a way befitting of her title. She is a wonderful asset to the crown, as much as it pains me to imagine what compromise/sacrifice that requires of her, particularly as a woman, in her life and marriage.

I think that is what the poster meant.. Kate's mom probably was always controlling her weight obsessively as this is what the job calls for. When you are attendant you need to be within certain weight limit... or at least that was thing in the past. So the comment was NOT without a merit and did NOT have to imply aristocratic bacground.

Nonsense. All the pictures of Kate from her college days and while dating William show her at a healthy weight.

Please. It was obvious that Kate’s parents were desperately pushing her to marry well. They sent her to the same school as William. When he transferred, she followed. This was before they even dated. I can only imagine the type of pressure they put on her to get his attention.

This is such a tired argument. They've been married for TEN YEARS. They've known each other more than half their lives. They have three children together. From what we see, they look pretty happy together. Maybe they are not, maybe they are, but I don't get why people go on and on about how evil or cunning Kate was/is. Can't you see the misogyny? What, did she just decide it was going to happen and Will had no say in the matter? Or she broke him down or she ensnared him with her magical sex prowess?

And... no one transferred. In fact, it wasn't released where William was going until just before school started.

Same for Harry, Meghan did not make him do anything he didn’t want to do

It is different here in the US as "class" is simply an economic term but in the UK it is about background and education.

I don't believe either Mr or Mrs. Middleton attended university. That makes them lower-middle regardless of income.

Nice try.

Their current bank account, real estate and lifestyle make them upper class.

It’s ridiculous to label them based on their situation decades ago. They are the grandparents of the future king. Even Anne Boleyn’s parents’ status improved dramatically through marriage.

In US terms yes, of course, but not in UK terms. In the UK you can be impoverished and Upper Class, you can be impoverished and Aristocracy but you cannot be uneducated and from a working class background and suddenly become upper class, though you can of course become rich. It is different there. You need to understand there are differences, cultural and in terminology.

In their own generation, no, but their children have become UMC because their parents used their fortune to give them the UMC education. That's how it works there. Money becomes class if used to obtain class credentials.

Anyone with a medical background want to say what's going on with Charles? Is it just a nervous reaction?

His hands are twice the saize they should be. Looks like they need to be drained.

Arthritis, alcohol, diet.... no announcement has ever revealed what it is. It has been noticed before.

Whatever it is - its hereditary. Louise has it too and she's only 17.

Edema. It’s common in the elderly. Once called dropsy, edema can be minor or severe, localized or generalized, and have any number of causes. Edema in elderly individuals is frequently caused by an underlying condition, such as kidney damage, heart failure, chronic lung disease, liver disease or even arthritis.

I mean really? seriously? Mask is NOT a fashion accessory this is a life saving device.. this mask is an equivalent to G string coverage..

NOW THIS IS HOW YOU WEAR A MASK!!!

You realize that there’s a very good chance that every adult in the family has been vaccinated for quite some time, right?

You realize that the mask mandate requires people to wear actual MASKS inside .. of anything that has inside. There is no suggestion of covering or fashion accessories. It is a MASK MANDATE!!!! K's pretend mask is anything but.
