Teachers are taking a leave of absence

2 teachers from the same elementary school are taking leave, one them is starting it on Monday, and another one after break.
They just don't feel safe going back to school, I am wondering how many more teachers will end of taking leave after the kids go back next week.

I asked my teacher spouse to take a leave of absence to care for our kids while schools not open in person. There is an issue with retaining teachers on both sides of reopening.

My son’s teacher from last year is on LOA now for childcare reasons.

I have a relative who did this in another school district. It is not surprising. Although I have a feeling that FCPS will have better safety protocols in place than at my relative's school where they do not require masks.
